The bus is comfortable and it is a very easy way to cross the border to Udon Thani. It drops you right by the mall which is nice to go to if it need to kill time before going to the airport. Much easier than dealing with the people at the border trying to charge 200 baht for each of the three legs of the trip. Times are accurate as of 25 May 2018.

VIETIANE, LAOS IS A TOURIST TRAP: Very expensive compare to Thailand, no club, no girl, food are over price, hotel are over price, poor WIFI, nothing to see, no tour group and TUTUK are ripped off. STAY IN THAILAND.

6,000 Kip to the Friendship Bridge on #14 bus. You don't have to purchase a ticket. Just jump on the bus and payment is given along the ride. In order to find the #14 it's located on the street between Mahosot Rd and Sakarin Road. Once you hit the corner where the main station is just keep walking and take a right. There will by many buses lined up on your right hand side, from my recent experience it was the one closest to Khouvieng Road. But you can simply ask around.

Little bus platform. All the numbers are clearly marked on the bus. The number 14 bus (to the friendship bridge and Buddha park) is across the street. Super cheap fare at 6000 kip a ride!! Fairly frequent. Clean and comfortable air-conditioned busses.

The bus route numbers are displayed clearly on signboards so it's easy to identify the one you need. Toilets are on the left side of the platforms. Across the street you can find other routes like number 8 and 14 (this one goes to Thai border and Buddha park, 6.000kips on February 2017)

Crazy, busy, stinky place with huge crowd of taxi-guys on your arrival. If you just come, bought ticket and go is okay, but if you need to wait there is better to walk somewhere else)
