You know we read reviews and we're anxious about our stay but actually we had 10 really great days at Khamphone. Great location away from noise but easy walk to everything. Bike hire and great tour company at end of road. Room was large spacious . Huge comfortable bed and a single bed for child. Room basic but clean and had a great hot shower. No daily cleaning service but when we wanted our sheets changed we let them know and they did a great job. Changed towels frequently whenever we asked. Lovely family run guesthouse and they were helpful friendly and we were made very welcome . It's not flash but was more than adequate for our stay . Breakfast not much choice but tasty ,filling and set us up for the day. Lockable draw for valuables and had a nice seating area outside room. Would suggest a small fridge would be handy other than that was a good base for us to explore area at a good price. Would definitely go there again . Thanks for a great stay :-)

The guesthouse is great. Clean, spacious and not expensive and also very attentive with booking busses or tours. The reason I'm rating low is because of rude people staying here, slamming the doors in the hallways, smoking in the hallways getting the smell in our rooms and having drunk loud conversations. This hallway has great accoustics, so every sound gets amplified. Now the guesthouse can't help these people their rudeness, but they can have someone maintaining the rules and applying consequences to those who don't follow them. If they would be more strict on these things I would give them five stars, because some nights were just unbearable because of this.
