A wonderful restaurant with a delicious menu. Great for vegetarians. My favourite by this company. Look for the others in Vientiane and Cambodia.
Amazing meal! I wanted to keep eating. Great way to start your trip in Luang Prabang! And they also support a great cause
My fish dumplings are soooo delicious. And the sticky rice banana cake is fabulous! This is definitely the best meal I've had in laos! Friendly and attentive staff. Will come again tomorrow.
Beautiful place, well situated. The cause behind the restaurant is great, i thought It was a really good contribution. I went to the bathroom upstairs and i saw the kids having cooking lessons, it was very nice. Very good quality. I really enjoyed the dessert.
Delicous flavours, attentive service. A wonderful Laotian food experience, would return in a hearbeat. In addition a great enterprise to support, whilst enjoying the great local food. I would recommend the Tofu, mushroom and glass noodle croquettes.
Delicious! Well done traditional dishes and great twists on the fusion side. I could only recommend a bit finer chop for lemongrass in laab
Lovely Lao food great training program. Excellent local tastes in stylish indoor restaurant. Will go back.
Really tasty food. A good cause (helping disadvantaged youth learn a trade). Very reasonably priced. Good atmosphere.
Amazing! If you eat anywhere you have to try this place! The food was delicious, the drinks were delightful and the service and cause behind the restaurant is great! We had the salad, Lao beer battered fish, and the Buffalo sandwich and all were so flavorful and perfectly balanced. They take reservations which might be better if you are in a large group. There were only 2 of us so we found a table quickly. Favorite meal we had here! They also have sister restaurants in other SE Asia cities that showcase local ingredients that are equally delicious!
Not only a good cause that helps local kids learn cooking, you also get an absolutely delicious meal, delightful service, and know that you're supporting an enterprise that cares about the local area and its people. Would definitely visit their sister restaurant in Cambodia if I'm ever passing through.
The food is amazing!!! Service is great too! The pork belly is not to be missed
Amazing food. Incredible kids and staff.
Go support this place - they do great work and you get great food!
Lovely lunch here with local Laotian and Asian dishes. Service was friendly and food was generally very tasty and filling. This place also serves as a charity to teach local youths to cook, which I reckon is a good cause to dine for!
Friendly English-speaking staff. All dishes are actually big tapas (tasty and orginal), so best to order more than 1 dish. As a Belgian I can also say that the chocolat mousse dessert was delicious!
If you eat here, you eat for a good cause and against child abuse and slave labor. Warrants the slightly high prices, but the food is good anyhow. You get presented with tips together with te bill. Tips to be a responsible traveler that is.
Had a very nice lunch here. The restaurant is bright and welcoming, staff are friendly and food is good. We had laarb and sticky rice and it was very good. Our waitress was very shy but provided good service. It's a little pricey but considering it's for a good cause, worth the little extra you pay.
Delicious modern twist on Lao food at a restaurant that trains people for careers in the service industry. Unlike most Lao places, they not only make great food, but present it beautifully.
Best enjoyed in a group so you can share as many menu items as possible. Most are like tapas, but a few are dishes for one person.
My favorites that you can't find elsewhere are the crispy tofu and the pork belly. For desert, the pandan panna cotta is my favorite - not too sweet, and has an interesting mix of favors, from coconut, to lime and hot chili. All my friends prefer the fried bananas.
Quiet restaurant but the food was reasonably good. Services was great too.
Incredible place with incredible food. I would 110% recommend coming here! The lao red tea, lime and mint shake is superb. I'm still dreaming about it now that I have returned from my holidays.
Great food and clean place.
I recommend the water buffalo steak roll. Food is great and it's also a feel good since the restaurant supports a wonderful cause
Delicious, quick, lovely staff and a brilliant cause to support. Highly recommended!
Good food, for a good cause. Original menu with something for everyone.
We made a reservation before we left China and arrived to find our table waiting for us.
Luang Prabang is beautiful and the food at Khaiphen is exceptional. The chicken curry is a must have dish. Beautifully rich, very tasty with the most delectable sauce.
The desert menu is amazing. We had one of everything.
Service is impeccable. Price is good. The drinks refreshing and tasty.
Khaiphen has been established to give disadvantaged youths an opportunity to work in the restaurant business. There is also a sister restaurant in Siem Reap.
So here is your chance to go and eat good food and contribute to the community. Always a good thing.
