  From this bus station(known as Bokeo Bus Station),go to Chiang Rai is more CHEAPER (57K kip)than huayxai bus station to the border of Thai. Tuktuk will charge u 50K to the border from huayxai station.

  You'll need to tuk-tuk here (or from here) between the town. Should run about 30,000 kip. Buses to Chiang Rai run 57,000 kip.

  Unless you take a long boat or hire a car, this is your gateway to the rest of Laos from the border. If crossing from Thailand you'll need to hire a cab from the border to take you a few kilometers up the road to this station on the outskirts of town. Buses to luang namptha, luang prabang, Chiang Rai, and other destinations
