Endroit magique dans les montagnes. Le dépaysement est garantie. Pour visiter Luang prabang, pas de problème, le resort propose un service de minibus jusqu'à la ville. Les lodges sont très propres et très grands. N'hésitez à manger sur place, la cuisine est excellente.

Hillside is an beautiful, tranquil retreat next to the Laotian forest and about 30 mins drive to central Luang Prabang. Guests should not come here expecting to live in the lap of luxury, there are certain things like the low water pressure, lack of hairdryer/minibar, wifi limited to main lodge building, which make this resort not an ideal choice for everyone. The walls of the bungalows are thin, so earplugs are recommended. However, these minor shortcomings, understandable in the context of Hillside's relatively remote location, are greatly outweighed by the positives. The view from the property, especially main lodge and pool area, is outstanding. There are some really nice hikes nearby, my friend and I really enjoyed our day and a half hiking some of these. The food at the restaurant is a really nice mix of local Laotian and Western cuisine - try the Larb and sun-dried pork! The manager of the hotel, Louis, is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Hillside's dog, Buddy, has a great temperament and makes an awesome hiking guide too! The bungalows are equipped with large, hanging mosquito nets which mean that even if there are mosquitoes around, you aren't likely to get any bites while sleeping - a very welcome touch that shows these guys really know their environment. Some might take issue with the distance to central Luang Prabang, but a shuttle is offered to town twice a day and if you plan to stay late, finding a tuk tuk to drive you home is not too difficult. Overall, I loved the experience staying at Hillside and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in nature and looking to explore the beautiful Laotian countryside.

Very quiet place in the middle of nature. Friendly familiy, especially Oscar. Owner has great knowledge about the country. Good traveller advisor. Clean place, no plastic laying arround everywhere. Nice pool. Waterfall close by. Rooms carefully maintained. Always again. Thanks
