It's simple but its cheap and that's also it's charm. Puppies running around, hammocks and a nice balcony. Beds surprisingly comfortable, and all rooms have their own bathroom.
Great atmosphere, good comfort food with a fantastic common area.
Pros - good breakfast and drinks and mosquito net
Cons - Common area close to accommodation and people up till 1am playing loud music
Shower did not work and very close to the main road so a lot of motorbike and car noise
Very nice guesthouse! Very good food and best coffee! I saw the Amazing project They want do for help the Laos people, It's amazing! If you go in Tad Lo you have to stop in this place :)
Wonderful place. I love these guys. Doing a great job and the French fries! Go for it!
Delightful polka dot bed linen, hot showers, mosquito net, wifi and delicious food, with fabulous chill out area and hammocks. A Stones throw from the Waterfalls. A great place to stay!
French saucisson in the forest of lao whats not to love?
It's okay , great location, simple but adequate bungalows and excellent but pricey food. However, the service is appalling, you may need to shout out three or four times in order to order some food, or bang on a door , or tap on a sleeping shoulder, the whole family seem to be constantly asleep. Also the path to the bungalows is a muddy stepping stone break a leg in the wet season.
This place has such a good vibe, really good location and pretty good food. Recommended!!
The guesthouse has simple accommodations.
The water that is advertised as clean and drinkable is certainly NOT! It may come out drinkable but it drips into an open bucket, which they use as the water distributor. We made the mistake of thinking that the water was clean and have been suffering from water poisoning for days now.
Please, either take down the ad in the menu saying that the water is clean or fix your system. People (like us) can get really hurt and have their entire Laos experience ruined because of it.
Very nice place with great food and great people.
We stayed in Fandee Guesthouse for 5 nights. The staff is very welcoming, the atmosphere is great, and the food is descent. After checking almost every guesthouse in the area we found it had the best value for money.
Also, it seems like the founders (a French couple) have some reputation among the villagers, and they help kids from poor families by teaching them English. They have some plans for opening a tourism center with all kinds of attractions in a nearby island which we hope will work out.
The stream in the shower was always weak and the tap in the sink was essentially unusable. Finding bugs in the room is very common. It helped, though, that our room was equipped with a mosquito net in good condition (even though there are almost no mosquitos in Tad Lo).
