Great backpacker hostel. Cheap price, clean/simple rooms, tasty food, good food and alcohol prices, laid back friendly vibe in the bar area. Cold Water showers(it's hot in laos anyways). They rent bicycles for around $1 per day and can help with tours or other services if needed.
Very chilled out place. The bungalows were very average. Mozzie net had holes in and there wasn't a sink in the bathroom. No hot water for shower either. Good place to rent bikes, buy bus tickets and take it easy
Chilled vibe, good facilities, nice backyard and private beach
Great place to stay on a budget. Dorm bed for 25,000kip (Nov ’17). Price will vary slightly according to low/high season.
Chill hostel located on the sunset side of Don Det. The staff are friendly, they have a decent food menu, and a fun atmosphere. The dock along the water allows you to chillout at night and watch the sunset while drinking some beers and listening to music. For Don Det, it's one of the more livlier places to stay, so if you are traveling solo and looking to meet people, this is a great place.
The dorms are basic but clean and cost 20k. Bungalows are 40k. These prices were during the low season (September) and may be a bit higher in the dry season. The only drawback is that the location is 20 minutes from town, but they will pick you up from the dock in a motorbike and because it's a bit of the way off, it is more quiet.
Quiet, well built, nice staff. Very good food
I spent two nights there. The room is quiet cheap, only cost 20k per night. The food is really good, omelette with bacon sandwich and noodle soup are highly recommended.
While the location is quiet off from the pier, about 1.8 km, you can rent a bike from the first restaurant you see when you get on land, usually it's gonna cost you 10k per day. But the good side is you can get away from the touristy street and enjoy the view calmly.
The hotel is owned by a big lovely family and the host can speak English and offer some advice on one day tour.
Great location but very poor management. They kept running out of beer and other food stuff.
Chilled place and good to meet people. Nice bar opposite to watch the sunset and sometimes there are parties on the beach. I'd personally reccomend hiring a private bungalow nearby and drinking at Easy Go. It's affordable and considerably better in my option.
Good staff, good enviroment and very cheap.
Cheap and good! A bit off the main village but still in walking distance from the pier (even with heavy backpacks). Run by a friendly local guy called Louis, he cooks, prepares the cocktails and does all the administration! Almost in charge of everything. But still very professional. 25k for a dorm bed per night.
Chill, clean, nice
