  Cosy little hotel run by a French couple. Nice staff, clean rooms and just a few minutes walk to the centre.

  Disappointing.
  From the moment I walked in tried to settle in to our room you could here every noise in the building, to hours later after trying to relax in our room and not being able to because of the owners young children screaming at the top of their lungs in the yard just next door, we had to leave to de-stress. I try to find the positives when doing a review but this place fails me. Sorry.

  Lovely place at the end of a street, next to the river. There is a cozy atmosphere at the guesthouse and a lot of attention went to the decoration of the rooms and common areas. The local staff is friendly, just like the French owners, although it is clear they prefer to socialize with French guests.

  Beautiful place, clean rooms with everything you may need. Some have river view. Hot water in the shower! (after few weeks in south East Asia actual hot not warmish shower feels divine). But the breakfast here Omg I had probably the best pancakes in my life. Everything is so tasty and fresh. Loved this place!

  Not a fancy place, but a good value and the owners Rudy & Marion work hard to please. Great WiFi, good location, nice breakfast, small but functional rooms. Ask for a room overlooking the river away from the roosters.

  Outstanding guest service. Rudi & his whole team made sure we had the best possible stay in Luang Prabang. No other place to stay than Cold River. Rooms are big enough, offer good A/C and clean bathrooms with everything you need. The breakfast is big and offers a variety of local food such as noodle soup or fried rice. Not only was Rudi very helpful in giving us amazing advice on what to do but also were we able to rent a motorbike through him (which means I could leave my passport with him rather than with some random rental guy).

  Friendly, family run guest house with views of the river and great breakfasts. Very clean, quiet with eco and social initiatives (reusable water bottles, etc.).
