First wandered into this café because I wanted to escape the rain. I had a mango sticky rice and a Lao coffee. At the same time, I also read more reviews about this café, most of the reviews were overwhelming positive. So, I came back for dinner. I ordered a chef’s choice, where the Chef will choose six dishes for me, plus a dessert. Kind of like Omakase in a Japanese sushi shop. I loved every one of the dishes. As each of the dishes was served, I thought it was the last. It was perfect for sharing. The service was also great. It’s bit higher priced than what local Laotians eat, but it was good food. Owner is really hospitable and friendly.

Best food we had in Loas!! Highly recommend. They also gave us lots of free extras: fried Mekong weed chips, a small cocktail and coconut 'cookies', I had the meal in the photo below and absolutely loved this. The staff was all so very good and friendly
Reasonably priced most meals between 45000-58000(if you include a side dish of rice)

I visited yesterday, after reading reviews online I thought there'd be a wide variety of vegan choices but there were only a handful.
I asked the waiters for vegan food but they didn't seem to understand.
I enjoyed the pumpkin curry and free veggie chips they provided.
If you are a carnivore I'd recommend this place.

Nice, clean, diligent. Come early, relax and dishes come in their delicate time. Priced akin to the west. Curried chicken skewers, fish curry, black sticky rice and coconut/lime/cinammon iced dessert were lovely. I'd sit inside, peaceful from road.

The food looked good but we didn't stay as there was nothing on the menu our 9 and 10 year old wanted to eat.
Service was good. Decor nice. An indoor and outdoor area.

Try the chef's sharing menu for 2. Will leave you stuffed but everything was amazing. And only ~25 usd per person.

I’m glad I chose this place to stay for my LP vacation. Location wise, it’s great. Close to mount Phusi, night market, morning market, morning alm, Maekhong river stretch - all walkable. Room has good size, clean room/ towels with hair dryer, big bright bathroom with transparent roof to let natural light shine in. Small downside is aircon has bright green light when turned on and you could smell exhaustion gas if the room’s facing the street. So light sensitive people should bring the eye shade. Owner is very kind and helpful with all questions and help booking transports etc. He’s a chef. Breakfast has superb quality and we tried dinner. It was a hands down for quality and taste. Some might say it’s for non laos but I’d go to the street if i want just what exactly the locals eat. His food is adjusted so people who cannot take 100 chilies can enjoy. Most important is fresh, no msg, very high quality. I’d highly recommend the place.

We notified the owner that we were vegan / vegetarian. He produced an outstanding set of dishes. The freshest spring rolls, thick, flavorful yellow pumpkin curry along with brown sticky rice, and a tofu-mushroom mix steamed in banana leaves. The last dish arrived at the table as two aromatic hot packets. We unwrapped them with great anticipation. Needless to say, we had no room for dessert.

Great Laotian food in a comfortable, cosy, intimate setting with plenty of charm reminiscent of French Indochina. Right across from a nice bar, and a stone's throw from the riverbank if you want a cool evening stroll home after that meal.

Tasty food in tiny portions
This restaurant is pleasant and clean.
We came in a big group and our food was quickly served.
The food was tasty but in very small portions. I ordered some curry-like dish which was delicious but kept me hungry because of the tiny portion they serve and my husband had the (really small) fish baked in banana leaf.
If it weren't for the prices and amount of food served, which were similar to restaurants in the same range, we would have ordered more food.

Vastly over rated. This was mostly Lao food for the non Lao. The mango salad had zero kick to it. Zero! I can go on but won’t. The Mok Pa was the stand out dish.

They needs more fans, more servers, more chefs, For what it is, they are over priced. Of all my 100k kip / person meals in LP, and I had a few, this one was the least memorable, and the least fun. Sorry! On the plus side, the wait staff were very sweet and nice. They were just overwhelmed.

Best meal I've eaten in Southeast Asia in months!!!! So glad I checked this place out!!!! I got the tofu larp and it is just so perfect. Can't rave about it more. The restaurant is pretty fancy. The waiter even came and asked how my food was! When does that happen in Asia? Haha definitely recommend!

I saw this restaurant in lonely planet and I'm so glad I took the recommendation as it was delicious. We ordered 2 of the veggie curries to share and they were phenomenal, so much so I felt compelled to write a review. Staff were so polite and lovely, it really is the best restaurant. I wish I was still in Luang Prabang so I could go back!

Delicious flavors. Smallish portions, but I don't eat a lot so that was ok for me. Food was tasty, tho duck was a little chewy. Would return.

Amazing food! Very unique and homely. In Luang Prabang there seems to be an endless amount of restaurants serving the same food. Cafe Toui is different , food is amazing, staff are friendly and it's great value.

Wonderful, private cooking class that included a trip to the market. The four of us loved the hands on experience and small group size and had a feast with our five dishes. Cozy atmosphere and cold Beerlao rounded out the afternoon.

Food was good but to small portions for the price, and it takes a long time for it to arrive at the table, and when it does it wasn't together even though we were only two people. The service is just as bad as anywhere else I've been in Luang Prabang. It's a mystery to me why it's so hard to get a smile from people here, or a signal of understanding when asking for something. But this is not an issue singular for this place The cook or owner was very accommodating and nice though.
