One of the largest bank in Lao with several staff speaking English however despite improvements service is slow and mostly ineffective

Hard to fine parking the bank very busy with many customer and teller working slow you will wasted an hour just to have one transaction

Don't come here unless you absolutely have to. Can easily waste an hour just waiting for a transaction. FX at the riverside booth or access the ATM room directly behind it. Services is better now days but still high traffic all day. Do install the BCEL One app if you have an account, very useful for a multiple section of payments such as water, electricity or cable. Can transfer domestic payment through the app to businesses or individuals. ATMs available all over town and throughout the country.

The best state bank in Laos. Very trustworthy and their BCEL One app is so advanced and ahead of the competition.
