  The crossing was relatively fast however there are a fair bit of documents needed to be filled out for Visa on Arrival. We arrived in the last public bus from Thailand, the bus driver charged 80 baht per person. The people here speaks Thai as well although not so much English. The visa on arrival was $35 USD per person, they take US dollars however they will not provide change. They require an additional passport photo to be added to their documents, if you do not have one they will charge an additional $1 USD per person.
  
  As for process, the public bus will wait till everyone is done with the border checks, unfortunately we were the last one to reboard since we had crossing papers to fill out. We had to walk from the bus drop off location near the immigration boots to main building’s SW side for the Visa on Arrivals window that was about 30 meters NW from the booths. The window has a label on it saying “Visa on Arrivals” in English. One we filled out all the paperwork and pay the fees, we went back to the immigration booths with the arrival/departure cards and passport visa where they will stamp your passport and collect the arrival card. Then we hop back on the public bus.

  ด่านตรวจคนเข้าเมืองประเทศลาว ฝั่งขาเข้ามาจากนครพนม เป็นด่านที่กว้างขวาง ไม่ร้อนครับ ค่าผ่านแดน ถ้าจำไม่ผิด คนละ 40 บาทไทย
