  Riding my bicycle along the 16W road about 4 kms. before reaching Phonthong Town, I saw a big arch of Wat Phu Samlee on the right side and a huge golden Buddha image with hands on the chest standing on the right of the concrete road heading to the temple.
  
  The temple used to be called "Watpa Kumphaphusamlee". (Watpa means "forest temple") but nowadays while most towns are growing along with their temples, Wat Phu Samlee is either not exceptinal. I found a new viharn and its beautiful bell-tower completely built in a big area surrounded with big trees.
  
  Do not pass by Phonthong Town without visiting this temple.
