  The Medeu, (Kazakh: Медеу; Medeu) is an outdoor speed skating and bandy rink. It is located in a mountain valley (Medeu Valley, or the valley of Malaya Almatinka River) on the south-eastern outskirts of Almaty, Kazakhstan. Medeu sits 1,691 metres above sea level. It consists of 10.5 thousand square meters of ice and utilizes a sophisticated freezing and watering system to ensure the quality of the ice.

  This place is a lot of fun! It is the highest altitude ice skating rink! Please visit! If you are under 22, you can receive a discount. Bring your ID. There is a place to store your bags, and you can rent skates here too.

  Must go place in Almaty. One of the interesting landmarks in neighborhoods. You can skate in the highly located ice rink from middle of the fall.

  Fascinating, unique and must-visit place in Kazakhstan! 😍 Is there any other such wonderful skating arena surrounded by outstanding Almaty mountains like this????! Only in Almaty! Only Medeo ❤
  In summer don't worry, arena is used for roller-skating 🗻😎 With green mointains with snow on the peak is just fantastic!

  Amazing places. If you ice-skating you must go here. One of the biggest icering for ice-skating and it placed at 2000 m. above the see surrounding by mauntains. Attractive and romantic place.

  Amazing atmosphere, friendly people and beautiful view. There is also a bunch of food stalls (some are overpriced) and ice skates rental available at affordable price too.

  The ice is great and fresh air, however if you mind crowd it is best to come in the mooring during weekdays. On holidays and weekends it is very crowded.
