Nice cheap place, to stay for few nights. There is a kitchen when you can cook. Minus: too loud after quiet hour

I was leaving here with my wife for a half year. Its very nice and very tolerant place. Mane different people from many countries. Normal service. Low cost. Not perfect, but normal. And very fine)))

I booked ten nights at Baza thinking it was a place I could sleep. Hostel was very noisy, with staff staying up until three or four in the morning making a lot of noise. Then on New Years Eve they turned the hostel into a nightclub, bringing in massive speakers, DJ, etc. I had to leave because I had booked a hostel, not a nightclub. It was after eight nights. Would they refund me for the 31st? No. Would they refund me for the next day, the 1st of January? No. Did they offer even one word of apology for letting me down? No way. This really pissed me off, not even an apology. Not a nice attitude, not a nice hostel, I feel let down. If you are looking for a place to sleep, there are lots of better hostels in Almaty, try Dostyk or Freedom instead. Avoid Baza!

Interesting place with great staff! The staff was very kind, helpful especially reception Mahpal showed good service, and made my stay unforgettable!

For your safety, go somewhere else. The hostel was full of drunk locals. Around midnight, they started to eat everyones food from the fridge.

I did not like how I was met by a night administrator. if I'm not mistaken his name starts somehow on “e”. he was very rude and did not even deign to tell me the password from wifi. besides it was very difficult to talk to him because he did not know english.

Very nice place with very welcoming people at the front desk .
clean , cosy and very beautiful, you have the choice, rooms tents or dorm.

Wonderful localization just next to Green Bazaar, but very uncomfortable mattresses. For this price you can expect that, but I have never before slept on mattress resembling a flat table also it was very hot inside with no air conditioning. Cool shared space though and reasonable price.

Отличный хостел, Администрация хостела очень доброжелательная, работают 24 часа , можно заехать хоть в 03:00 ночи! Welcome! Я тут на долго ;))
