The best in the market super clean. Yes it over priced but the Dr.s and nurses staff are professionals. You need to be patient with reception staff as they try to push you out if walking in with no appointment.

Dr.Zoe and Dr.Surgeo are very kind and friendly, treatments are a bit expensive but never fails, Im using this hospital for 7years now! And most importantly the place is always clean!!
I like the appointment system because it is less stressful to my cats, its better than being in waiting list or in queue, but I want them to return emergency system too so I come in during pet alert condition.

Do not recommend. They require you to go there an prepay 18KD for open file and visit. Only after going there and paying this they then allow you to make an appointment. And the appointment is for 3 days later. Or they offer you 28KD for “emergency” visit same day. That is not nice practice. Much better to go to IVH (International Veterinary Hospital). The same is only 10KD total (8KD for visit + 2KD open file). And you get appointment on the same day. And the quality of Veterinary School the doctors in IVH graduate from make Royal look ljke Baqala.

As an animal lover, my pet cat had ring worm and the hospital did an amazing job in healing and bringing my cat’s health back to normal. The place is great yet requires some repairs and new interior design to bring more customers. I also recommend changing the reception staff every now and then with a more professional attitude and competence; nevertheless, I had a bit of a problem with appointments too and the pricey health care for animals, but again, the doctors and nurses are very excellent and professional.

The doctors are wonderful and they have provided top-notch care every single time I have visited. One of my GSD had parvovirus virus when she was only 40 days old. They were very honest in telling me that she would most likely die from the virus but said I have the option to proceed with treatment if I wanted to give her a fighting chance. We admitted her and she was quarantined and given IV fluids and meds for 10 days and ended up fully recovering. No other hospital gave me any type of hope. My other GSD started to show signs of early hip dysplasia and he has since also fully recovered after going by the dr recommendations.

The reception staff are just garbage, however. They are very rude, unhelpful, and refuse to give appointments even when it’s not fully booked. The only time I didn’t have to argue with them to get in is when I brought my dog with parvo. Their attitude and behavior makes the clinic lose customers or push people to go to other clinics when they can’t get an emergency appointment. Even though I love the doctors and they saved my dog, I still try to avoid this clinic at all times just because I’m sick of the reception wasting my time when I’m spending so much money and acting like they’re doing me a favor by giving me an appointment.

Very good Clinic, clean and hygienic. We usually go to Dr. Sergio for our cat who is exceptional and well experienced. Only drawback would be the waiting time for an appointment which could be about 10 days. Also the charges are quite high. Other than than service is very good.

Very commercial. The hospital cares more about making money than to treat the pets. Over priced for a place that doesn’t help. Over paid a vet only so he can tell me my cat is about to lose his tongue but when I went to another vet all he did was clean it, give him an injection and he’s felt better than ever. Wouldn’t recommend nor would I go back. Sorry.

I would never recommend this place for anyone who loves their pet.. I couldn't get appointment and lost my poor baby last night I told them it was emergency but of no use .. the receptionists act as if they r doin some sort of favor .. they could have saved him .. I wish I knew some place else to treat him .. the worst country to have pets . Felt like a joke when one of the government hospital staff told us that they don't have the facility to do blood tests .. tried every animal hospital in this country but had no hope . He was just a 4 year old cat

This has been one of my worst ever experiences - my precious cats had their Titer test (for Rabies) last April at RAH - KD150 - so that they'd be ready to travel to U.K. this year. Results came back that they'd passed Great!!! Now I am ready to leave Kuwait in June and I've been told - and it has been confirmed by authorities at London Heathrow - that my cats have not been properly vaccinated and cannot travel with me!!!! The incomplete vaccination was done at Dahima (next door to RAH, so BEWARE OF THEM TOO!!!!), but the fact remains that RAH did the Rabies test without properly checking my cats' vaccination record. Thank you very much to the Head Nurse, Alison Rigley, at the International Veterinary Hospital for noticing the mistake!!!!. The test has been redone ( I had to PAY RAH AGAIN!!! ) and now my cats will either have to stay for THREE MONTHS in Kuwait, until end of JULY!!!! or travel with me mid-June and I'll have to pay 5 weeks' quarantine!!!! Had Ms Rigley not noticed the mistake they'd have had to stay till September or have 3 months quarantine in UK!!!
Another problem is that I have already shipped my belongings to U.K. What is going to happen to my belongings if I don't travel?????
Also, my Transfer of Residence application to U.K. government includes my cats, which now cannot travel!!!!!
Honestly, this hospital has caused me so much INCONVENIENCE and EXTRA EXPENSE AND WORRY, it's unbelievable!!!!
In addition to this mess, the receptionist told me over the phone that I am not the first owner of my female cat and that she's been vaccinated TWICE in HUNGARY!!!!! I told her she was wrong but she INSISTED, and verified my phone number, even telling me the name of the previous 'owner'!!!! Unbelievable!!!!
So, not only do they have 'doctors' who don't know how to read a vaccination report, but they have employees who don't know how to record data in the correct patient's file!!!! What a mess!!
Another thing, my female cat was
Microchipped when she was a few months old - that microchip somehow 'disappeared' . Yes, at one of her visits, the doctor couldn't locate it in her neck, and so decided she needed to have another one done. I don't know how common it is for a microchip to disappear, but it seemed very strange to me!!!!
All-in-all,,,,,, it's shocking, frustrating and very disappointing that a veterinary hospital that charges as much as they do, still is not dependable!!! We should be able to trust doctors!!!!
Management is apparently 'new', but that's not an excuse!!! Who is going to pay all these extra costs for me?????? It's not MY FAULT!!!!! or
my poor cats.. 😢😿

Have a pet rabbit .
She has been haveing a problem with her front paws .
Called this place ,who call them self a Animal hospital, joke .
They want me to go in and open a file , then make a appointment.
I live down by mabhula.
So I called them and waited for some one to cancel, she called back and said no one did . I ask to make a appointment for the next day . She said they were all full and as I was a new customer I could not make appointment ahead .
I ask is there a vet in Kuwait other then royal that treats Rabbits . She did not know . I ask if this is a emergency , what can I do to get a doctor to look at the rabbit .again she did not know
This place would not last a week in the states .

I called to book an appointment for my cat, who hasn't been feeling well recently and they required me to come first without my pet to open a file and only then can I set up an appointment.

I even tried to request to have the meeting/file opening and appointment at the same time but they refused.

one of the worst receptionist i have ever seen in my life. No matter how sick your pet is they will make u wait till u get an appointment even if its after 11 days.by that time your pet may diewe r ready to pay the price if they treat the human and pets respectfully.

My african grey died as they would not check him without an appointment , even if u r a new customer.i had to wait 2 days and it died..

the staff has no compassion..they don't carethey only want money..!!!!!

they don't deserve a star..but it won't get posted with one!!!!

I give 4 star for treatments n doctors

I am paying a big price right now for some one else's dumped cat , who was rescued from street after months of starving anemic n liver damage .. So far 1000 kd spent still bill going on
I have nothing to say about doctors .
Their knowledge n experience good enough the cat recovered from treatments .
.but ,
Medical bills too high .
For 5day treatment hospital stay cost was 280 kd GOT 30 KD discount bcz its rescued cat ..

I got to say reception handling customers horrible ..one (lady ) specially vry rude ..
When I sit there I hear her talking to others same loud rude manner ..only trying to prove her point
Already informed about her to one Dr

When we pay so much money , atleast appoint staff who are professional . they have to understand that we care , thats why regardless of the pedigree we bring
And my cat was having a drip .when went for visit I saw drip was not going through the tube ..after I informed also staff they brought special unit ..

I also asked to pay bill step by step and take cat home . also refused .

Didn't they know that no one can runaway Kuwait without paying bills ??

Another point , if your pet already a patient , then pls let us bring in emergency case without walk in charge which is another 25 for already patient .

Finally special request who ever read this
PLS ( tell others )DONT DUMP PETS IN THE STREET THEY CANT SURVIVE !!
