This is such a bad place. I took my 3 month old African grey parrot here because he was being very inactive. so we kept him hydrated and then planned to take him to Dr.Obaid. We went there they flipped the bird like it was some random object and checked its temperature. He had a temperature of 40 degree. We were scared. He said he had "diarrhea" when he didn't have any diarrhea. Then he gave me 2 medicines that was not at all related to treatment. One was for extra vitamins and the other was for diarrhea. He never got better. In fact he got worse! Then today we took him there again and my mom suggested to give him(Dr.Obaid) an injection(IV I think) but he said "no its not needed". So he gave us another medicine for fever and I think electrolyte. Then today evening I took him to feed him and he was really weird. his head was hanging low and he couldn't swallow, he eyes were watering and there was nose discharge. I will never forget that horrible sight then he couldn't breath properly .Then finally he took his last breath.he died. This was because of this hospital they didn't even take 2 mins to consult my parrot. Im advising you all to not take your birds or your pets here it will be murder. Find some other nice vet who will actually take care of your bird

The staff are horrible and the waiting time is always more than an hour. I take my rescues there because their prices are good. But the receptionists and crowd is horrible for such a small place.

I read so many good reviews about this clinic and Dr Obaid but right now my poor budgie is clearly so badly sick but he has been declared not sick by the doctor with a medicine not meant for treatment (it literally says on the box). I'm dying, I don't know what to do. I had so much hope in this clinic and doctor but now my budgie is suffering and I have 0 idea what to do. May Allah save my budgie and cure him. Ameen. Everybody please pray for my bird.

We brought Dr. Abdulla our cat from AlDohama hospital after being treated from an infection, in order to treat it from dehydration (as AlDohama don’t have drip to introduce fluids to the cat), the prescription was clear and asking to provide cat with a drip for at least one full day..instead of doing so Dr.Abdulla gave few vitamins to be injected in cat’s mouth and as a result the poor cat died within less than 24 hours and we had to go through the pain of watching the poor kitty going into accoma, if you would like to kill your pet, take it to Zoo Care

Most important thing is the care for animals, out of this principle I’ll rate:
1-Dr Obaid is very very kind and helpful and cares about animals more than money or anything and very experienced Dr, but can’t say the same about other medical staff members (drs and nurses)
One of the drs was messing with my cat and did unnecessary stitching which messed up his hand and my family and I fixed it ourselves!!!!
2-The prices are very moderate compared to other hospitals and animals’ health care facilities.
3-The clinic is kind of unorganized and always crowded.response / report this review -

Expensive and unhelpful.
Only Dr. Obaid will be helpful to you, not his staff. Try to get him to personally check over your pets.

It’s a pretty small vet clinic. 30 kd for neutering male cat and free after care (antibiotic shots for the following two days). I took my cat for the aftercare in the Mahboula branch. It’s best to drop your cat off in the morning when they open (9 am) and pick the cat up after the surgery in the afternoon. I went at night (7/8 pm) and it was very busy, I had to wait about 30-45 minutes to get my cat. Paid extra 3 kd for a cone that was too small (it’s better to buy one ahead of time that fits from petzone).
I went here for the more affordable price, but i DO NOT recommend them for spaying FEMALE cats. It’s a more invasive surgery that they don’t do well. So please take your female cats somewhere else that is safer even if it’s more expensive.response / report this review -

My cat was diagnosed with urinary bladder stone . He was in terrible pain and couldn’t urinate . We took him to Dohama (because that’s where we usually take him) , but they weren’t of any use . They took him into the treatment room but came back saying that they don’t have the needed tools / facilities to dissolve the stone . They charged me 5 kd for nothing .
Anyhow , we then took him to Zoo care located in shuwaikh. It’s a small clinic , but mind you the vet saved my cats life !
They vet said that it’s treatable and he inserted a catheter in his urinary tract .
In about a weeks time my cat was back to normal. The vet charged us KD 50 for the entire treatment including the injections . Which is so reasonable!
The same treatment would cost about 400 KD in Royal Animal Hospital.
They were very delicate in handling my cat too.

Dr obaid himself is the best dude ever, u can ask me y. Other drs I'm sad to say arnt as good or as nice theyre very aggressive with the animals as if theyre fighting, inject and give whatever medicine without informing the owner.

The place is small and cozy. Access to vet is easy for quick follow up. Service is fast.my cat likes the canned food they sell.availability of other pet products at convenient price.
