Fantastic. Fantabulous. Heavenly.
Just a few words used to describe the haven of Arabic food known as Beit Dickson.
First thing that one notices when in Beit Dickson, is the ambience.
The theme of the restaurant is to emulate and simulate the ancient and rich cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Kuwait.
Scattered around the resturant are the classic and framed relics of Kuwait's past. Old currency, ship pieces, radios, fishing nets, etc.
Gives a feeling of antiquity and tranquility.
Next is the food. Mouth watering and absolutely delicious. Tasty and quality of cooking is absolutely splendid. The prices seem to be reasonable as well.
I would suggest that one try out the large mixed grill platter. Contains a bit of everything and is filling too.
Lastly, do have the tea. One sits on the ground for that and get freshly brewed Arabic tea, poured straight outta a teapot into tiny cups, that most be savoured and sipped.
Overall, a fantastic experience and a must try for anyone who wishes to experience exquisite Kuwaiti cuisine.
Over priced & mediocre. I have tried better (FS)
A very nice traditional decoration.. The food tastes very good
Very good kiwaty food and service
I loved
In my opinion this is the best local restaurant in Kuwait.. I really like it and recommend others to visit..
The theme is great. The food is ok. The prices are high.
It was a great experience but an ok food.
Nice Kuwaiti food restaurant the food was very nice and I recommend you to visit the restaurant.
LOVELY PLACE LIKELY EXPENSIVE AND GOOD FOOD I LIKE ( Hameesa Laham )
Always busy , waiting time between 20-30 min . The staff is really rude & not professional at all. The food is overpriced generally especially the meat dishes. Not a wide range of food. ONLY authentic Kuwaiti dishes .
Dixon Restaurant is the restaurant of British political resident Harold Richards Dixon, I would recommend all visitors and residents of Kuwait to visit it you will know the meaning of delicious Gulf food
For AUTHENTIC Kuwaiti Food.. Food is Okay but expensive, also the staff is very rude and no attention given to the visitors, even if you call they don't listen at one place..
Beit Dickson should be called as an authentic Kuwaity food restarent, in which whole atmosphere is trying to keep as conditions of old-Arab style, filled with culture that shows locals preserved from old Kuwait days, may be going back upto pre-oil era.
There are different style of seating facilities such as open space table & chairs, close cubicle family type and Diwaniya type discussion/dining places.
Beit Dickson basically serves Kuwaiti cuisines, I am sure everyone would love them. They are rich in flavor that's is the traditional taste of Kuwaiti food. However, the presentation of food is not that apealing.
Staff is very good and didn't have any bad experience of my 3-4 visits to this place. They let us have our own privacy unless we called them to come in (if you would sit in close cubicles).
This is not lux type cosy place, please go there only get experience of some Traditional Kuwait food, culture and many more things. You can get an idea of about the place, food from all the photos uploaded here. Price is not that expensive, would say moderate.
Service is horrendous needs a supervisor to arrange the staff, food very mediocre can do better.
The service is so good , also the food so good too.
I couldn't wait to leave and post my review. One of the worst experiences. Very rude staff. The meat isn't eatable. The price way too high. I'd rather eat nothing than dine here.
Restaurant has beautiful decor and tasty food, but the tashribah's bread was too soggy
Old tradation kuwaity food must see and eat thare specialy qapot abod and emrabian
Awesome food..
Good quantity...
I will come back here for sure..
Only great decorations , I food is normal , I don't think I will visit the restaurant again .
One of my favourite restaurants in Kuwait if you love Kuwaiti traditional dishes, plus lovely decorative place, I always had a lunch in this Restaurant every time I visit Kuwait.
Last night was my third weekend in Kuwait and Mariam, who is a Kuwaiti took us to a restaurant called Beit Dickson which serves Kuwaiti cuisine and we loved it.
The place was very traditional and filled with culture that the locals preserved over the years. We are a group of expats, Filipino, German, British and a Kuwaiti, we decided that Mariam orders for us and we all should share it (which was a great idea by the way).
The food was great and rich in flavours. After our dinner, we decided to have tea and coffee at the tent and oh, that's something I believe everyone should do while in Kuwait. Very traditional, relaxing and meaningful.
