Great vacation spot. Pool, Gym, driving range, non alcoholic beverages, four star accommodations, the night life is great. Great selection of restaurants. This is deffently the jamica of the middle east.

Quick in and out trip. People in the Ibay weren't too loud at night. Was here for Wing Wednesday. Public WiFi was fine. Gyms were well equipped and clean.

Stay busy and you will be okay. If you’re on a short tour (9 mths) housing isn’t the greatest.outdoor bathrooms..sand everywhere. If you live in Zone 6 that is..get used to 2am bathroon runs outside. Food is okay.every night has a theme. Best gym is the tent gym in Zone 1.Free movies, free water, free everything (you do get kind of spoiled) it can be very boring if you just stay in your living quarters..get out! work out! Watch movies! MWR!!! USO is pretty nice.

Don’t bring open toed sandals to walk around in, no tank tops allowed outside of the gym, no short shorts.and note it does get cold here dec-march.the px is limited and the clothing selection is over-priced and not the highest in fashion. amazon prime will be your bff!!

Bring a lot of comfortable workout clothes and relaxed clothes, sneakers and closed toed flat shoes.

Had a weeklong visit at this location on the way to as well as from my excursion to the shores of the poo pond. Would prefer weekly rocket attacks and dashing to concrete bunkers to living in the hellish heat this place offers. Tried to take a shower in the afternoon to cool off the COLD water coming from the storage tank was so hot it burned. In fact, the cold water was actually HOTTER than the HOT water that went through the heater!!!!!

+1 star for having an awesome USO with great wifi.

Imagine a college campus (community college) set in a construction site with varying smells from gym socks to dirty diaper. It's got all the amenities to make your life in limbo a decent stay as long as you spend as little time as possible in the ass-to-elbow open billets. Enjoy!

Just a fricken cattle call in the middle of the desert. Getting folks out and in. There has to be a better way. The bus ride from Ali to Arifjon and to the Intl airport is soul sucking. Folks prowl to DFAC to yell at you about sunglasses on your head, etc. Meh, made it to and fro on five different occasions. Hope not to ever again.

Fewer insects than Bagdad. Hotter than the surface of the sun. Awesome gym. Really skimpy portions at the chow hall. If you are here, you likely didn't choose to come here on your own.
