This year I got here on Sunday evening. It was packed it took 1.5 hour. All staff were speaking in Arabic and they couldnt communicate well in English. To me it looked similar to the horrible govermental offices like traffic and immigration department. I recommend not to go after any holiday or weekend and during day time not evenings.
It was way better previous years, maybe because of the right time.

Everything went smoothly. They also sent ladies upstairs to an absolutely comfortable and conducive environment. As a matter of factit was like a concierge- valet topnotch service. It made everything so much easier and less stressful. It was indeed an absolutely great experience and I appreciated the entiire staff who conducted their work efficiently and in record time.

It is 3 window concept. First window (leftmost 2), the insurance will be booked. Currently 19 KD cash. Then on next window, (middle or right ones), you ll be asked 10 KD which is service charge and your car key. You can then sit or relax for 30-45 minutes. You can buy coffee, snacks from attached shop. Lastly, after your car is rolled down the testing machines and checked in line for body, smoke, brakes.. The government representative will call you. You need to submit 5 KD stamp (Stamp machine available there). and civil id photocopy (Copy machine avaiable there). Then new registration card will be laminated and handed to you. You can go and get you car else you key will come to you in 5 more minutes. Staff is very helpful. They speak Arabic and understand English also. Closing time is 8 pm. Office will be open till 8 pm for paperwork but not for inspection. Reach before 7:30 pm ,otherwise you ll be turned away or called again next day

Fantastic place to renew you car registration . The place offers a speedy and a respectful service, where you don’t get mocked away. The procedure is extremely simple with no significant waiting periods or queues. The procedure goes as follows.
1. Take a token at the counter (at reception) by showing them your civil id and car registration. Here you’ll also get a photocopy of your civil ID and Car Registration.
2. Wait in the waiting area till your number is called. The average waiting time is between 15-20 minutes. Just relax and enjoy a coffee or any other beverage which is sold at a small cafe in the waiting area.
3. Once your number is called you’re required to Deposit your documents and your car key. Here you need to pay 19 KD for insurance and 10 KD for technical inspection. You will be asked to take your seat till your documents are processed and the car inspection is done.
4. You could wait in the waiting hall outside the office named ‘qism al murkabat’ which is by the stairs next to the stamp vending machine. Wait till they call your name. Normally they will locate your car and take it for the inspection. However, they could sometimes ask you to identify your vehicle. Average waiting time is 45 minutes here. Once the technical inspection is done they will call you and you’ll have to Pay 5 kd or 5 kd stamp. Here you collect your new car registration.
6. Take your registration to the receptionist who will laminate it for you. The receptionist will then direct you to collect you car.
7. Collect a complimentary box of tissues, start your car and drive away.

Note: Park your car as closer to the main entrance as possible, which is by Al Dabbous Street, next to Al Sayer Car dealer. Normally you’ll find some space to park as the place seems to expand to accommodate all cars in the world.

Good place for your car registration renewal. But no proper guidance for customers. What are the things to do on what order is not specified here. 10 Kwd charges are high service charge. It can be 5Kwd.

Bad representative and worker he is from egypt trying to make himself know everything and do not respect the costumers. Also, they charged me too much and at the end they told me to come tomorrow in order to pick up the car registration! I don't recommend it to anyone! Better go the official authority pay less and finish your documents in the same day
