Enjoying here in springtime, incredible place to enjoy nature. They have a really cute and warm concept for the visitors. They facilitate the place with clean area, coffeeshop, meal place, ice cream place, souvenirs shop. They also have rental bike for visitors who want to surround this tourist spot. This place also famous because drama winter sonata so they have their statue here. When I came here, they have classical outdoor recital free for visitors and you can take a cool photos at every corner of this cool island. And last but not least they appreciate different cultures and religion with statue who represents each country with its regional clothes and they even have big and clean prayer room for moslem travelers. Kudos to this place!
Always my favorite place to go to in Korea. It takes a while to get to Nami Island and we usually take the train route via the normal train and not the KTX one.
The first time we went here was December and it was the onslaught of winter, so there were barely any leaves on the trees and it was too cold for us and we really appreciated the fire pits that were scattered around the main walk area.
This time we went mid or so autumn and it was cool and very colorful because of there were still leaves on the trees. It is always a great idea to include this place in your itinerary when you visit South Korea.
A very beautiful place in autumn. Romantic also, known for the setting of Korean drama Winter Sonata. There are cafes, restaurants, and handicrafts shop. We opted to bring our own lunch and ate in the picnic tables scattered around the park. A good place to bring the family especially young children. There are squirrels and rabbits that seem to co-exist with people. The place can be crowded at lunchtime to afternoon, so it is better to be early.
This island provides you with different view and feel at different seasons of the year. The placed has since 'evolved' to become more touristy since my last trip here in 2014, and has since lost nice and traditional feel I got out of it back then.
If you are coming during peak period winter/autumn make extra effort to come early. The queue for the boat in and out of the island is pretty crazy. Else you can try zip lining down to the island but that cost you a cool 38000won.
One the best things to do in Korea, is going here. Natural beauty mixed with good food (If you eat meat.) Don't expect any vegetarian food, you'll find one if not none. Best to go during mid autumn.
Great place to visit!! Loved the autumn leaves and photo worth places!! Not to mention the many squirrels running around the entire island!
It's a fun place to visit and maybe to hang around for a picnic or overnight. Mostly a place to relax and take selfies. Has some fun and interesting aspects such as ostrich birds and many flowers and snow figures. Winter Sonata a Kdrama was filmed here.
Very lovely park and it's quite near from Seoul.. transport is easy from Seoul too! It's good for a day tour..
Wonderful visit to Nami Island. Not far from the place Gapyeong. Easy accessible from Seoul if while you are visiting Korea. Perfectly for a one day visit. If you come by public transport from Seoul it is recommended to check online the timetables for metro/train/bus to avoid long waiting. Once you reached Gapyeong the bus transports towards different tourist places are limited to 1-2 a hour and once full , you have to wait for another one. In case you are with a group of 4 , taxi would be perfect to save time as you still have to take the ferry to the island. The island itself is like a nature paradise. Lots of trees , fresh air and its very clean. You will see some ostriches too who have their own space to run.
Great place to relax and just walk around. If you were a big fan of the Korean drama Winter Sonata, you must come here. There are lotd of restaurants to choose from and there are two souvenir shops.
Beautiful atmosphere and a good place for photo-taking sessions.
There were a lot of couples there. It is best to come early to avoid the crowd. It is wise to go without a tour group so that you have more time to explore the island.
Nami island is definitely a great place to visit.
Clean, refreshing, and beautiful. Unfortunately, things are a bit pricey here.
You have to watch Winter Sonata first to be able to appreciate this island fully. And there are plenty homages to Winter Sonata.
I loved my pictures here with the row of trees as my background. I saw squirrels and rabbits playing around freely. It's a place for everyone to get away from city life and enjoy nature. The island has a coffee shop with books, restaurants, etc. Make sure to catch the first ferry ride so that you can enjoy your photoshoot without the other tourists around.
My boyfriend and I visited Nami Island via a third party company (also included visit to Rail Park and Petite France). We absolutely loved Nami Island. The short ferry ride that took us to the island was an experience itself. If you're brave, you can take a zipline to the island. The place was not crowded at all (we were here about 9:30am on a Monday in early March), although it became more crowded later in the day. We got a delicious hotteok (basically a pancake with nuts and honey filling) as we toured the island's famed filming areas for the drama, Winter Sonata. The island also offers restaurants, gift shops, small snack shops, and "hotel cabins". During our visit, it was a cold day. There were many fire pits on the trail that you could sit at and warm yourself up.
