dont be fooled by "BOAT" in the title all it is a pice of driftwood with a pice of rice on it and if you try to swim to it you get shot.

Overall great place and ambiance. Steamed orphan tastes much better than fried IMHO. Dog rice was also tasty.

I was having a wonderful evening 🌃 with my friends and family and special police 🚨. I didn't mind all the microphones and cameras but when we got hit by a torpedo I spilt my crispy snails EVERYWHERE!!! Then the children had to clean it up. Even as they starve and bleed from their eyes they keep a smile on their face. 😃

It was definetely not one of my best experiences eating out. Most of the food was sold out, and the staff was so rude! They killed my father for wearing Nike sneakers. Other than that when we finally got our "죽은 고아" (Jug-eun Goa) it was quite delicious. The one upside about the staff is that they gave me a recipe for the dish we had.

My general tsos chicken was raw inside, and when I asked the chef for a new dish he fried me up some tasty dumplings.

What a FUN experience!! The staff tie ropes around the feet of orphans who dive off the boat to catch your meal. What they bring back is usually a 'chef's choice' seeing as those kids can bring anything from a 30 pound river carp to an endangered river dolphin. The ropes insure that those zany kids don't high tail it to the shore and eat what they've caught seeing as most of them are half starved by the Great Leader's current policies. All in all a great, romantic experience. Don't forget to tip your waitress/official minder.

My wife and I spent a lovely evening dining at this restaurant. It had a lovely view over Pyongyang's river as well as a great advantage point to watch the orphans being pushed into the river to die

I know it's North Korea and all, but actually this was a great restaurant. There are multiple in the boat, but they are really nice. The food is good, and the staff is very friendly.
