Nice Port with a lot of souvenir and duty free shop around this place. So you don't need to go to the city center, if dou don't wanna go. And the most important thing is, they have Good and fast Free Wifi on the terminal.
Lovely port. Nice shops. Found some of the food and bit exspensive. Drinks good price. A short walk into the town where there are few things to look at.
Beautiful I can't wait to go back. Great place to relax! Or Retire😉.. Jimmy on Cockleshell beach was a great guy to wait on us all day.had some good local food there on the beach as well.
Lovely area to walk around and visit the many shops. If you go off past the shops, there are locals grilling lobster, wings, jerk and bbq chicken, lasagna, etc. We enjoyed our lunch! The people were all so pleasant and welcoming.
Nice murals. Don't engage with the people who have monkeys. They will expect money, just for the interaction.
You can get a bus to the beach for as little as $6/person each way.
Love this stop! I have been here before and love coming back. Great shops! Nice people. Beautiful weather. You could not ask for more!!
We had a great time shopping and drinking as soon as we got off the ship. There's a great little bar right in the center of all the shopping. Not cheap, but it was fun. If you're looking for a great deal on jewelry, check out Royal Gems. We were worried because it wasn't a cruiseline "recommended" shop. At our next port, we had a "recommended" shop check the quality and found that the center stone alone was valued at what we paid for the ring and a matching diamond pendant!
Plenty of shopping. We visited The Harley Davidson Shop & bought a Harley shirt for $99. It has St Kitts emblazoned on it as well as Harley Davidson logo. We also enjoyed a very cold drink at an open air, shaded drinking bar. Lovely!!
Nice but if you want to just wander around the town you have to fight your way through all of the taxi drivers touting for business.
Centrally located in the heart of Basseterre. Close to shops and eateries. Local vendors line the streets 3-4 days a week with fresh local produce.
The cruise terminal here was really good. Great food and stuff nearby. Good shopping. A casino and plenty of vendors. The guided tours here are not as great as other islands and they don't sirens enough time at locations, next time we will take as car and do some self exploring
Great cruise port. Short walk into the town. Plenty of shops and bars in cruise terminal and great atmosphere
Some ports we go to in the Bahamas, we do not get off the cruise ship. All the cruise port towns look alike, but I was pleasantly surprised by St. Kitts. It is worth getting off the ship here and stroll around. Very quaint architecture and an "old timey" Carribean flair. I enjoyed this destination.
It's called Port Zante (the other port is called the Deep Water Harbor, nothing there but freight, it's close to Port Zante though). There's Lot of souvenir stores, liquor stores, and places to buy jewelry and wedding rings! The food court isn't bad, and there's a mini pharmacy "Sun pharmacy" at the food court as well. If you want your Harley Davidson St Kitts poker chips, you'll have to pay attention as the store isn't as easily noticible as the other stores.
Gorgeous island so we didn't spend much time shopping but there were plenty of options
Great port, and overall shopping area. Very clean good variety of venues and eating establishments. Try the Carib beer while there!
Clean terminal, few shops, even fewer options for drinks of food. Generally not much to do, empty under developed place, even after decades of tourism. The taxi service is decent, the walk to and from the ship is easy and unhindered.
Large open space. There is a casino, lots of shops, places to eat, etc. There are Canadian banks on the outskirts of the area, within walking distance.
You get hit by the guys tryi g to sell you stuff, but at least they fence then off a little bit. Once you get past the fence they hit you hard. Shops are typical.
Good cruise destination. No people crowding you for hand outs.
Beautiful structure to welcome you to St. Kitts. Lots of great shopping right there.
Large great Pier. Great tax and duty-free stores. Loved the entertainment. Great places to eat and Shop.
Wide variety of shopping, from the typical jewelry and t-shirts, to chocolate and foods. Prices were better than other locations in the Caribbean.
Really nice terminal. Nobody baggering you about buying anything. You can walk freely and shop if you need to.
Love, love, love St. Kitts! Beautiful island with rich history! Took a taxi for and 'Mr T.' did an excellent job of representing his native land!
Great Caribbean island to visit. Lots of shopping at the port terminal. Warm and inviting local people. Fun trip.
One of the best islands in the Caribbean. A complete cruise terminal for tourists and local people.
What a Beautiful Island! From our boat it looks like an island were Jurassic Park could have been filmed. Great excursion (St Kitts top 10) we had an awesome tour guide and went to a beautiful place that had awesome trees, bushes and flowers (lots of photo opportunities). Then went to an old fort, it was great to check it out as well as taking many more awesome pics. Just a word of caution, do not let anyone put a monkey on you, they carry lots of diseases and the owners certainly make you pay for it, and some make you pay more to get them off of you. (And the locals who own the poor monkeys don't treat them very well either).
Gave this 4 stars just because of how beautiful St. Kitts is! Beautiful beaches not far from each other if you want to change scenes!
So overwhelming. Locals crowd the exit of the cruise port gangway and harass you for taxi rides, try to get you to pay for taxis with pet monkeys etc. They are relentless and are allover the shopping areas as well. We spent 3p minutes here and walked back onto our ship as we had more than enough.
