We visited "Double Deuce", while vacationing on Nevis, based on a few local recommendations, and also an article in Forbes written about Nevis, which recommended it for their burgers. It is located just beyond the southern border of the Four Season's Resort, along a dirt road, just west of Lime and Northwest of Sunshine's (Google Earth's marker is a little off). It's about a 7 minute walk along the beach, from the middle of Four Seasons (Beware at night, there is little to no lighting, and the walkway is liable to have small pits and holes you might trip on/in). Their only (apparent) menu they have, is a chalk board easel at the entrance, with the day's fairings. When we arrived, the majority of the items had been wiped off/canceled.

We visited in the evening, around 9pm or so on a Thursday, which just happened to be "karaoke night". Although we sat indoors, "indoors" really is "outdoors", as it is more of a covered patio rather than an inside dining room. As such, the mosquitoes began biting us, almost as soon as we sat down. While the karaoke singing was terrible (fingers on a chalkboard terrible), I don't fault them for that, as that is what you get when you have karaoke. In general, the people singing (locals) seemed to be having fun.

The food on the other hand, was just bad. We had the hamburgers, based on the Forbes article, and they were not good. At a price of $40/XCD , they were just plain bad. As you will see in the pictures, they barely put any cheese on the "cheeseburger", a small sliver in the center of the patty, which doesn't even cover half of the meat. The fries were ok, nothing special, and the ketchup is evidently mixed with water, as it was very thin, and as drinkable as my beer. They also don't except credit cards, so everything is in cash, which is just ridiculous for a restaurant in a tourist destination. This was the only restaurant which we experienced, that only accepted cash (both US and XCD)

Between the terrible ambiance of mosquitoes biting, people screeching (singing) at full volume who obviously shouldn't be, and the burgers with runny ketchup which ranks somewhere between a 99 cent hamburger at McDonalds and the day-old pizza taquito thing you see spinning around on food racks at 7-11, we really just wanted to eat and get the hell out of there.

Our server was nice, and pleasant, and did check on us, however once we received our check, it was quite a while before she came back around to cash us out. Our bill was also added incorrectly (2 Beers @ 5 XCD each and 3 burgers at 40 XCD somehow equaled 131 XCD, plus a 10% VAT of 13 XCD for a total of $144 XCD) but it wasn't worth arguing about (they probably count on that).

To be fair, I had heard good things about this place from others on the island, and not to mention the Forbes article, however for the time we visited, it was just bad.
