Virak Buntham should be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. Last night we caught 2 of their sleeper buses, firstly from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh and then from Phnom Penh to Battambang. During the first leg the bus was pulled over literally every 15 mins. Each time the bus was pulled over, the driver and co-driver grabbed some “tools” to make it look like they were fixing something outside on the bus, however there was clearly nothing wrong with it. Later we were to find out that the staff had been going through everyone’s luggage in the hold and stealing various items - luckily for me all they took was a cheap pocketknife and an already open bag of muesli. I always keep my valuables in a smaller bag and take it with me on the bus. However some people obviously had some higher value items taken. Bottom line is this company is filthy (read the sexual assault story on the Khmer Times website) and have also had multiple fatal crashes over the years. The second leg of the journey didn’t seem to include any more dodgy stops to steal more of our belongings, however the driver looked like he was about 12 years old. Stick with other bus companies like Mekong Express and you’ll be glad you did. Or fly if you can afford it.

i take a bus from Bangkok to Phnom Phen and Virak Buntham Express Tour & Travel damage my new luggage and make me wait for 4 H to see the manager who comes and did not do anything and ask me to go and get police
after i complain to the company they call me and ask me to get 30$ for damage on a bag that i buy for 100$ then thy call me and offer 50$ i say i put the bag in the bin thy make a hole in it and water come in the bag and all my stuff no replay so far from Virak Buntham Express Tour & Travel

The company is not good enough. If you don’t have another option to travel use it and don’t buy the tickets with resellers because they will give you wrong information about the departure times or increase the ticket price. Secure yourself before buying here.

Wanna to travel to different provinces and Thai border at night time take this, you can sleep on the bus with hotel bus and for VIP car (small one) is in the morning departure

DONT BELIEVE THE 5 STARS PEOPLE GAVE FOR VIRAK BUNTHAN, THEY ARE FROM THEIR EMPLOYEES!! THEY TAKE EVERY CHANCE TO STEAL ALL YOUR MONEY & GOODS. THEY ROB YOU WHILE SLEEPING IN A NIGHTBUS OR STEAL YOUR STUFF DURING OUT OF YOUR BACKPACK IN THE LUGGAGE STORRAGE, WHICH YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE INTO THE BUS (THEY BUT BEDSHEETS INTO YOUR BAGS SO YOU DONT RECOGNIZE IMMEDIATE!) PLEASE ALSO TELL YOUR HOTELS NOT TO SUPPORT THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE CRIMINALS!!!

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY UNTIL THEY IMPLEMENT A CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM AND ORGANIZE THEMSELVES!

We booked tickets 4 days in advance and at the last minute they sold our seats to someone else for no reason. They made a mistake, and refused to provide any refund despite their mistake.

Their buses and ferries are in decent condition and made for a good ride, but when they make a mistake, which happens with this company frequently, expect a total lack of customer service and lots of frustration.

Your transportation is good! Please fix your customer service policies and standards of organization!

Booked ticket day before. They said they had no record of our ticket so we had to call to ask them. They picked us up an hour late. Proceeded to leave another hour late after that. Very unclear instructions at the border crossing Very uncomfortable seats, man in front of me was reclined and it crushed my knees every time he moved and I am only 5'2" and 110lbs so I can't imagine how others felt. No blankets snacks or water offered. Overall journey was supposed to take 8h and took 15h from Siem Reap to Bangkok. Would never use or recommend in the future. Worst bus company I have used in SEA.
