Best and cheapest vegetarian food I had while in Battambang! The staff are so friendly and come over to help us right away as they can tell we are tourists. However, both times I ate there I was the only foreigner which is always a good sign in my book. The food was super hot both times I got it so no problems there. I had the sweet beef soup which is made from steamed mushrooms but really does seem like beef! They also have homemade soy milks everyday, my favorite was the one with soy beans, cashews, and pumpkin. I only wish I could cook like that!

They basically offer 3 soups (veggie, beef/mushroom, curry) with different starches (noodles, rice, bread), plus a few other noodle dishes. Unfortunately they were out of most noodles both times we went, which was around 11:30. Also, make sure you ask for the soups to be heated. I ordered the curry - which was delicious - but it was room temp, at best. The next time I asked them to heat it up and it was much tastier. Staff is very friendly.

The food was amazing, especially for the price. Ladies were also super nice. Took off one start for poor ambiance. This is still a must visit in Batambang, just expect a hole in the wall where the locals chow down.
Also, it's only open 7a - 2p, so it's not open open for dinner.response / report this review -

It is probably one of the most popular vegetarian restaurant in Battambang city. But, i like it some.

Small vegetarian restaurant or a corner shop to be more appropriate. They have a small menu with 30 or so vegetarian dishes and 6-7 drinks. The drinks were quite good. The menu has items like 'Sweet Beef Soup', however vegetarian meat substitutes are used in these dishes.

Sorry, but can't agree with the previous comments. Was praised a lot, but we had a rat friend running around our feet, a bird that drank from the pot and the food was fine. Hope they'll improve for future customers!

Absolutely amazing vegetarian food in Battambangsuper tasty and super cheapbowl of sweet "beef" noodle soup and soya milk coffee for $1.75 dont miss the place if in Battambang!!!!

Yes, it really closes that early. We can back for breakfast 2 days later, and had the most amazing soups. All around $1.25

Full size meals at about $1.25 - what a bargain:) The staff (and customers too) were very friendly, tried very hard to help us have a great meal. They have an English menu now, but I just did the old 'point and smile' :) I'll be back every day I'm here!
Oh! It's only open from 6:30-2:30pm - so make like a local and just wake up and eat earlier:)
