They call it mini ankor Wat as it was built about the same time! Interesting place as well have the bamboo huts out on the lake to eat an relax, nice little trip out of Phnom Penh.

After reading all the negative reviews i still decided to go for it, I arrived at about 11am and it's very empty at that time. There's was only one young girl selling flower, once you entered the temple there are a few old beggars asking for money but they won't harass you. If you are a gamer this place is a must. It looks like Citra's temple from Far Cry 3. It cost me $30 from phnom penh city > here > killing field > back to hotel.

This temple, adapted from Bayon Style, was built during, Angkor era, the late 12th and early 13th centuries, during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. The temple is 42 meters long, 36 meters wide and 11 meters high. It was constructed of brick and laterite and devided into many rooms.

Tourists have to pay a minimal maintenance fee but for the locals entry is free.

We hired a tuk-tuk here from Phnom Penh for $20 return. The road is in poor condition so it took an hour and a half each way. The temple itself is in a ruinous condition but it is a beautiful ruin. There are some wall carvings of apsara dancers and also some beautifully carved lintels and door frames.

Probably a nice place to visit but I was the only tourist on the spot and had around 8 kids begging for money around me showing their flowers at my chest, then a grandma, another grandma and it was enough. Did shorten my stay around because of that. Didn't take much pictures and didn't enjoy

The journey toward this small temple fully deserves the time spent travelling across real Cambodia

Free to visit this temple with the old style of khmer culture and warming environment around the temple. Be aware of kids and grandma who will beg you for money.

Amazing, breathtaking. Nature taking over. My favourite temple among the rest! Definitely worth the trip and tons of photos.
