If you're a Backpacker and you move around every day, you'll be happy to find a comfortable dorm in a quiet hostel. In Silver Dolphin you have cheap, good and clean rooms, good vibe and a rooftop with perfect views to see the sunset in the Mekong River.

The restaurant downstairs it's a good and cheap option to have breakfast, dinner or only drink something (they have a good offers 'buy 3 get 4' and incredible fruit shakes)!

If you look for a tour in kayak to see the dolphins, bus tickets, or an agency who can make a Visa Extension for you, this is your place too.

We recommend 100% this option!

The stuff is very friendly. That's about the only thing that is going for this place.
The room had windows that cannot be closed, so mosquitos were a problem. Bathroom also had windows that are always open, and door couldn't be closed, so no privacy, no hot shower plus the toilet can't be flushed so you have to manually put water on it. Bed was okay i guess, room could be cleaner. When we asked to switch rooms we got a room that had a very damp sense to it, and we couldn't stay there for more than a minute.
This place is very cheap, but adding two dollars can give you a much better room that doesn't make you feel like you're sleeping in a dumpster.

We just went there for the restaurant and the Mekong view. Good khmer food for less than 5$ pp, drinks included. And you have the sunset right there ! Owner speaks good english. And you can buy bus ticket or rent bicycle or motorbike

The place is very basic, as you'd expect for the price. The owner wasn't particularly friendly when we checked in but slowly warmed up, a bit. The toilet cistern doesn't have a lid, and there's a school next door (so not a place for a nice sleep in).

They do have good food, their tour prices seem reasonable and they can organise onward travel visa bus.

Overall it's what you'd expect for the price, with the food here being better than expected (both quality and price).

The rooms are pretty basic, though come with a fan and a TV with some English language channels. It's located right on the river, within sight of the bus station and ferry boat to the island, and has a great view of the sunset from their rooftop bar. You can arrange any sorts of tours, motorbike rental, and bus tickets from there. The staff are super nice and helpful, and encourage solo travelers to sit together for dinner or will start a game of beer pong or water pong to get people social which is great. The real mistake you would be making however, is if you stayed here and did not eat the food. I would say it's probably the best in Kratie but I wouldn't know because after having one meal there I couldn't go anywhere else. Khmer and western both at typical prices for the country.

It's difficult to criticise as staff are genuinely friendly and good English is spoken. However, I was disappointed with price to quality ratio of my single room. I had a single room on the first floor with low ceilings (had to watch my head), a window but somehow no daylight, and the room smelled really badly of toilet. The bathroom door did not close and the shower was malfunctioning with only cold water available.
Nice rooftop bar area. Motorbikes available to rent.
I stayed for the same price of $6 in a much better room the following night. It's still cheap but the price is not fair given what's available on the market.

Best place to be in Kratie. Good Food great rooftop bar and great and helpful Staff. Very cheap also. Dorm 3 USD.
