Great, fun show. Don’t go in expecting to have your mind blown; that’s not the point. These local artists have real passion and it makes for a worthwhile spectacle. A bit on the short side (around an hour), but I was smiling and laughing the entire time, which is worth so much more.

Where can I start? After a day touring Battambang, the circus made the whole experience unforgettable. A great, entertaining performance. The circus performers were confident and charismatic and their energy and enthusiasm levels blew me away! It is a family friendly event so it's great for the whole family. The only negative was the fact that we were sitting next to some drunk people- so people with families - just be mindful that there is alcohol on the premises. Other than that, - really great event - looking forward to coming back and seeing more of their performances 😊

The show was wonderful and the quality quite good. The show is rather expensive though at $14, especially for Cambodia. Even though the website states that the show lasts until 8.30 pm, it only lasted for an hour. $14 is definitely too much for an hour. Especially if you consider that there are probably over 200 spectators per night. I was especially disappointed that they ask you for an extra donation at the end of the show. The gift shop is also overpriced.

Highly recommended for a fun experience while contributing to this laudable social cause.

Phare is actually a school for music, design, arts & athletics/performing arts. The performers in the circus show are students of the athletics/performing arts part of the school.
Entry is 14 dollars per person. I recommend you come a bit early to also visit their arts exhibition and talk to the students.

In terms of the show: it’s a fun show, but the level of artistry is not the same as what you would see at a Cirque du Soleil performance. I wouldn’t say it’s the best show I’ve ever seen, but the thought of supporting the school makes it worthwhile :-)

A visit to the circus is a nice chance to end yur holidays the right way or at least the stay in Battmabang.
Don't put your expectations too high. It is not comparable to European circus shows. So actually, it is not that spectacular in terms of the artistic shows or danger, but you really see the passion in the eyes of the artists.
Consider to bring your mosquito spray

I could use many words or sum it up quickly - brilliant. World class. Must go.

Do yourself a favor. It’s a really fun experience filled with classic clown behavior and acrobatics woven into a cool storyline. We watched Chill - the one about ghosts - but even the kids were laughing.

Brilliant show from start to finish!

Once you arrive you can get drinks or snacks at the bar before the performance starts, including popcorn! They also have a small shop selling t-shirts and art from the students. I myself brought a drawing for 5$ very reasonable. They also have a small exhibition gallery if you arrive early to look at.

The performance area is nice and small so no one is to far from the stage. The performance itself is fantastic! Great humour and brilliant gymnastics. It's a show not to be missed! I would love to go again!

This is an amazing place! You can see a circus show with amazing acrobatics on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. You can also have a tour of the school by appointment where you can see the work this organization does to bring education in fine art, drama, dance, music and circus. Must see for Battambang

I was impressed when I first saw the place. Feels like an art commune which is good for this type of school. Circus was mostly acrobats with classic clown humor. Don't expect more and you won't be disappointed.

Probably the best circus I’ve ever seen. Not only because the show amazed me and got me sitting on the tip of the bench until the last minute, but also because they give the children’s a chance to live a better life. They provide them education and recreation.
I think they should be having a chance to tour The World and show even more people what these young adults are capable of.
I would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone who visits Cambodia!

It's a awesome way to spend time in Battambang: seeing the performance from these guys. I saw Cabaret show. They did a great show with some improvisations here and there and lots of laughter!! I can tell that they were also enjoying the performance and having fun with each other. There's a also a good shop to see creative stuff the students do. It was recommended to me by another traveller and she was right! Next time I'm in Cambodia I'll go again to see another show. Keep up the good work Phare crew!

I watched the circus performance here and visited the school the next day. The ticket to the performance is $14 and the school visit $5. If you purchase them together ON THE SAME DAY, it's $17. Remember, you MUST purchase them on the SAME DAY in order to get the $2 discount.

I already watched Eclipse at Phare Circus in Siem Reap, it was mind blowing. I chose to watch Influence in Battambang, omg, these students are nothing short of the professionals in Siem Reap! The show was well designed and and the stunts well carried out. I couldn't believe how well they presented the intricate mental activities that went on with the characters. Such an amazing show!

The visit was an OK, if you are lucky, your guide may be very patient and friendly. Mine, on the other hand, was a bit impatient and arrogant. He would frown when I asked questions and often looked at me through the corner of his eyes. The other guides seemed really friendly.
