  I am impressed by his cooking skills. have been there several times, best curry in Cambodia for me. plus its cheap.
  Just ask him for vegetarian options.

  We stayed 5 days in Kampot and I'm serious, this man can cook!
  
  The Curry is the best I had in 30 days Cambodia and I just eat local food!
  
  We also tried Amok, Lok Lak and the fried rice - delicious!

  Good honest Khmer food, cooked fresh whilst you wait. The most expensive item is only $3 ! I always eat a late lunch and evening meal everyday that I am in Kampot. The husband and wife share the cooking but as the wife is pregnant (as of 1st June and due in 10 days) she is not around much. The husband can understand a little English. Have almost tried every dish on the menu and all are delicious. It's located on a main road so can be noisy. Will be back again soon.
