Relaxing beach resort in a stunning location. Probably the only undisturbed beach left in Sihanoukville. It's remote, so it costs a bit to get there from downtown Sihanoukville and you have to settle in once you get there. But Monkey Maya is a great place to get away.

The owner is very very Friendly. I got Stuck Here after fight with a tuctuc driver, the owner of the hostel helped us out by translating. They also used let us use their phones to call the police and we had some lunch for a good price and amazing quality. We wish we could stay here and nights but we had to leave the same day and I'm sure I will be back here someday.

Great place to chill! Not much to do around but the jungle trekking was beautiful and their food was amazing. Veg/vegetarian friendly!

I have two main reasons to visit Cambodia again. First one the magnificent Angkor, second one Monkey Maya. Untouched beaches of mesmerizing beauty, stylish bungalows, friendly staff. Jungle kissing the beach. The luxury of authenticity!

Really amazing views with a quiet private beach. Lots to do with kayaks too rent or jungle walks. Staff were friendly and always tried to help. Tab system worked really well and staff were really good at remembering your name making us feel so welcome. Cleanliness of toilets could have been improved a bit and the dorm rooms were really hot at night.

One of the places you have to go to, when in Cambodia. The staff especially the mangers are so nice. You feel like on a Robinson Crusoe island, so take a few days to relax and forget about all the little problems back home.
No wifi here so definitely bring some few books!response / report this review -

Beautiful resort! Great music in the bar. Good vibe, friendly staff and cute dogs!The food and drink menu a bit pricy. ($3.5 - $7) because nothing is around so this is the only place where you can buy food, unless you go to the closes town (about 3km) and eat with the local ($1 -$2)

This place is paradise. Almost hesitant to write a review because that'll turn it into the tourist trap that the rest of Sihanoukville is. Friendly staff, prices aren't gouging, comfortable dorm, no wifi, power for only a few hours a day, and a private beach.

Absolute paradise! We stayed in a small bungalow overlooking the ocean. Staff were lovely, food was great and not too expensive, and everyone we met there was really nice. Don't miss the bio-luminescent plankton.

It is very quiet, as it is far away from the touristic areas, so there are not many people around. There is one big beach and some hidden beaches which are very cool. BUT: so much trash on the beaches! Sad! At least you can earn one can of beer by collecting one rice bag of trash..! :)
The bungalows are easy and you have a beautiful view over the ocean from the little balcony, possibly even from your bed.
The dorm is big and clean and there are hammocks outside to chill. It is 5$ per night.
You can rent canoes for some hours or the whole day and you can make a walk through the jungle to a little village of cambodian people.
There is a tuktuk shuttle that can fetch you up and bring you to your next destination; of course it is not free, but the price is reasonable.
A big disadvantage is: You have to eat at the hotel's restaurant, as you will probably not be able to get to another retaurant. The food is very good, but it is not cheap.
Another thing you should know before going there: There is no wifi!response / report this review
