The whole aura of lily's secret garden is very cheerful and the cooking class is super fun. Chris is a very professional and detail-oriented person who is instantly friendly. He gave us in depth knowledge about cambodian local market and all the ingredients used in khmer cuisine. Food we made was vibrant, packed with flavour and super tasty. Definitely recommend everyone to take up this course when travelling to siem reap especially if you are foodie and love cooking.

Very nice cooking class in a friendly and warm atmosphere. The class is well structured and organized. Ingredients and cooking equipment is all there and ready to use. The number of people is also good for everyone to be able to participate and enjoy. The market tour was a great introduction to the class and to Cambodian cuisine ! I highly recommend it !

First time taking a cooking class and was not disappointed. Prompt response via website, pick up from hostel and a tour with a group of 6 to the local market where we experienced the culture. Chris is very knowledgeable on Cambodian common practices in food culture such as fermentation. Also shared how to pick ingredients that were fresh and ripe and whether it was imported or local. The cooking class was very enjoyable with table setting that was aesthetically pleasing. Our Cambodian chef was very helpful in explaining all ingredients and portions. We also learned small cooking tricks that I will use at home Garden is quiet and peaceful, good for a get away from the busy city and party scene. Comes with certificate, cook book and pictures emailed. Overall perfect experience for me. Never thought I could make something so delicious!

It's a wonderful cooking class , chef Darwin got patient and observant . For every ingredients do detail introduce. Good local to learn Cambodia cuisine. recommend for every one who want a deep trip and relax times.

This was a relaxing and fun afternoon! The market visit with Chris was really interesting, informative and authentic. Chef Darwin is a delightful character as are Lily and all the members of the household and staff. The food was super fresh and while it was a relaxed pace there was plenty to learn and it was DELICIOUS :)

17 nov 17 Had a great time learning authentic Cambodian dishes. This include visit to the market with introduction to local ingredient by the host. Green mango salad, curry and Coconut cream banana. MSG free. Good for beginner with no cooking experience. Host is friendly as well with pickup and drop-off at your requested location

What more could you ask for, beautiful owners, an amazing insight into khmer cooking and the markets/fresh food, don't look anywhere else if your looking to learn in cambodia.
Took dad there for father's day, he was a chef for years and i haven't seen him enjoy cooking so much in a long time. Sick of temples? This should be your first go to, not to be missed.response / report this review -

Absolutely fantastic! The day at Lily's Secret Garden definitely graded up our stay in Siem Reap! Heartwarming people with so much authentic expertise. They give you a very warm welcome on the beautiful terrace of their home, outside of the bussy and touristic Siem Reap Centre. Lily's recipes are extremely delicious and you can learn a lot about the Khmer cooking style. Honestly - just go there.
