The Department of Rural Engineering (GRU), created in 1981, assures the higher education in the field of Water Resources and Rural Infrastructure including the study of water resources on and underground, Hydraulic Construction, Irrigation-Drainage, Construction of Rural Infrastructure
The GRU department aim at transforming students to be a high quality professional in the field of water Resources Engineering, Hydraulic Structures, Design of Drinking Water Network, Environment, Surveying, GIS, Land Management, Irrigation Drainage, and Construction of Rural Structure. This objective responses to the national rectangular strategic development plan of the government which includes Management of water resources and irrigation, Rehabilitation of roads and Access to improved drinking water & sanitation
