Awesome hostel. Small pool but excellent to cool down in the heat.
One of the better hostels I've stayed at recently. Not too wild and get chilled during the day with just the right amount of liveliness in the evening. If you want a crazy hostel vibe try mad monkey. This place is low key social.
Good food. Pumpkin Rigatoni was fantastic. Nice pool and chill out bar/area. Plenty of seats and sofas . Games to play including pool table and pool volleyball. Room was very clean and they bathrooms in the private rooms now include frosted glass shutters (some reviews mention just curtains before)
The tuk tuk ride share service here is really useful as well.
Large & rather impersonal. Must be new as lots of disused spaces. Nice balcony space. Expensive bar. Website states free breakfast, they say website is wrong & charge (false advertising)! Stayed in a 'pod' a rather comfortable cupboard! Quite a long distance from anything/everything.
Cool hangout spot with pool. A little crowded during tourist season. Prices slightly above average.
A great place to stay. The rooms are large, clean and comfy beds. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and there's a POOL !!!! I would highly recommend Eighty8 to everyone.
Very good place for backpackers, very nice atmosphere in the common room, great breakfast and very good food and drinks (at good prices). Unfortunately somewhat far from center, rooms comfortable but dark, pool area quite small.
Excellent option for stay. Nice clean rooms and washrooms, great breakfast which is included, the common area is very comfy with a bar, swimming pool and a pool table. Plus the location is convenient
Really nice place. Great to meet backpackers. The diem is ac, and there are also private rooms and pods. Good price. Starts from 4$, great buffet breakfast included in the price and a nice swimming pool. Only problem is that it is like 25 minutes walk from the center and after 10pm everything is closed and it's hard to find food.
A little disappointed with the stay, the pictures are deceiving and the price was a bit much for what you get. Stayed in a 6 bed dorm, the room and bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable. The first night the room was freezing, we told the staff in the we told them again and they sorted it and had a more comfortable night. The restaurant food was good and breakfast ok. It's about a 30 minute walk from the palace and other sites.
Brilliant hostel nice bar decent swimming pool. The foreign staff are amazing. If you have any issues avoid speaking to the local /Cambodian staff, they won't create a solution and are extremely rude. On the whole fantastic hostel would recommend
Stayed here for 2 nights, loved it. Usually don't like dorm rooms but the pods added a nice sense of privacy. The pool area is a great place to hang out as well. Staff were also fantastic.
Great hostel. Bar and reception staff were extremely kind and helpful. The staff will help you figure out best deals for transport and tours. Pool area is great and there's a volleyball net ! Good outdoor seating and seating under fans. Only recommendation is a bit more lighting in the outdoor area.
Amazing guest house ! The rooms are clean and well ventilated, and the lobby is really cool : lots of cheap drinks, lots of cool people, and a pool to chill out
One of the girls from the staff event took my friends and some people we met there into a local club, and we had one hell of a night !
I was booked in here for two nights but left after one because of bed bugs in three separate dorm rooms. I wouldn't give a bad review just because they had bedbugs but the way they dealt with it really bothered me, one of the guys working last night said (after moving us to the new dorm where we found bed bugs again) that we can sleep on the upper beds as bedbugs can't climb up? And just in general treated the situation like a joke at times and was so nonchalant about it. I was moved into a female only dorm where I found two bedbugs on the floor but couldn't see any in the beds so I thought it was okay to stay one night as it was past midnight already at this point. Also the couple who was in the original dorm had to be moved into another room again because there were bugs in the upper beds as well. The next morning I peek into the original room because I had to leave my backpack behind to be steamed and see a girl sleeping there who they hadn't told about the bedbugs!! And when I ask to be refunded the second night they say they can just give me free breakfast because they have already given the money to the owner. I thought this was okay but I'm still pissed off!!! And to top it off the guy working in the morning said that they haven't heard of bed bugs in their hostel even though i showed him this picture of the biggest bed bug I've ever seen and explained him the whole thing. He just wouldn't believe that there were bed bugs and asked me if I had them in the last hostel I stayed in which I couldn't be sure about but I'm sure I didn't bring them into three different rooms in their hostel. However, I'm grateful they steamed my bag thoroughly and had me watch them do it to be sure but I'm so paranoid that I've put all my clothes in the wash to be sure. I hate bedbugs!! If you decide to stay here just triple check your bed to make sure there aren't any in your room.
What a good place! The beds are amazing. I slept really good. I had an emergency, came from the hospital. The manager helped a lot. Thank you!
When I got to my room here there were bed bugs everywhere. I told the staff at midnight when I found them and then they moved me from the room but didn't tell anyone else. Then they steam cleaned it as they said but I was told to leave my stuff behind to be cleaned too incase they'd got into it. I got back in the afternoon and they'd steamed the room but not my stuff! Eventually I spoke to a lady who I believe was from Europe somewhere and she sorted it all but I'd tried about 5 times before this and the Cambodian guys working there just treated my concerns like some sort of joke
If it hadn't have been for their attitudes about the whole situation I'd have given a far better review as everything else was great!
Great hostel! Has pods, solving the problem of privacy in a hostel. Very friendly staff and great bar / chill out area. Price for pods is good at $7 a night.
On the whole not at all bad. Very nice bar/chill out area which serves moderately priced drinks and has a private pool. The beds are large and comfortable and the rooms quiet and the shutters can make them pitch black in the middle of the day if you're a vampire or yet lagged. The food is alright but a bit expensive (by local standards). Although the bar staff are friendly as hell, the concierge were a bit off hand and acted as though I were inconveniencing them with my custom. Very nice place for meeting travellers though and a great choice for the solo traveller.
