The place is paradise! You got so well looked after by the staff. We had a tent on the beach, you're on a wooden plinth so not directly on the sand. They provide ways of avoiding getting sand in the tent! Restaurant menu and drinks cater for locals and tourists. They have a library and some board games to play. Also on request, your sporting event on tv if you ask nicely! In the evening enjoy a bonfire on the beach, a BBQ or just play in the sea right on your doorstep. Coconut Beach is the perfect place to unwind. They can sort out boat activities or just onward/return taxi boat trips too.

The staff is fantastic, and the owners will interact with you daily and clearly care about the guest experience. They have an excellent free library and other free activities, just ask Robbie what he has planned for the day. I very much enjoyed the food which was generously portioned and reasonably priced. The beach is private and quiet, and excellent for wading and swimming.

Really nice spot on coconut beach and clearly they’ve put a lot of work into their property. The family that run the business are all very hospitable and friendly, making sure that everyone staying there knows what to see and do. They also have a nice common area with mars, hammocks and a fire pit.
While we were there, they seemed to have a bit of plumbing troubles but fixed it promptly.
    - relatively expensive accommodation (for me, a mouldy tent with a broken zipper and comfortable mattress)
    - restaurant food is overpriced and mediocre
    + friendly and helpful staff
    + location
+ all the little things: mosquito coils every night, lanterns to send into the sky, swimming with plankton, free snorkels (iffy quality) and help with bags to and from pier

If it had been better prices, we would’ve stayed longer.

Had a great time at this place, just wish we'd booked longer. The waters are shallow warm and perfect and there's even some small corals to look at when snorkelling. The staff are especially friendly and funny and the food is good too.

Khmer ambiance and home made food for your convenience. The restaurant is situated few meters above magnificent sea view, turquoize and blue. The white sand is pure, the temperature of the water is hot. This is paradise and and you can feel the fabulous place is only for you and your lover.

We didn’t stay in Coconut Beach Bungalows however just visited for lunch. It was for a change as we were staying in Nice beach bungalows which is on the other side of the beach. Coconut beach bungalows are at a nice location and the restaurant has a nice view over the beach as it is settled on a hill. The owners seem to be friendly to their own guests and however not the outsiders who come to eat at their restaurant. Our order came in very late and it wasn’t the thing we ordered. When we asked for the correct order, the owner was very unfriendly and he said something like “this is what we have, either take it or”. I thought that was rude. He was very impatient with any questions. And the food was not very impressive. We are the easiest visitors so we didn’t make a fuss about that. Eventually they calculated the tea we ordered as complimentary but we never went there again and I was happy of our choice of staying in Nice beach bungalows. My feeling is that because coconut beach Bungalows is rather older establishment, they are kind of saturated and spoiled with tourists unfortunatelyIf you are a business owner serving people, you cannot afford to treat them rudely. Even if they come only for a bite.

You definitely should stay there! It's for sure the best accommodation at this beach! Most things have been mentioned already, so I just can repeat it.
The food is so delicious and considering the huge portion size and the location on a island I'd say it's a outstanding value! (only the burgers I can't recommend).
The family that runs the accommodation is super friendly and helpful! Nice bonfire every evening, you can go swim with plankton or set a lampion free.
Only cons: Just three bathrooms for a lot of tents. A few more would be great. Fishermen work the entire night and have noisy engines. Make sure to bring our earplugs!

Loved the location. It's on a secluded, clean, gorgeous beach. The bungalows are minimal, clean, and equipped with mosquito nets. The property is family owned and all of them as well as the staff are so friendly and kind. The mom prepares the food which was absolutely delicious!

The son Robbie was very helpful. He prepares bonfires when it's not too windy and he shows you the bioluminescent plankton in the sea before sunrise!

There's no hot water nor AC in the rooms but that's due to the location being on a remote island where electricity isn't always available. It's the same for almost all other properties.

We had a fantastic stay and wish we stayed longer :)

It was all in all perfect. Robbie, Pia & Co. are so kind and make everybody feel comfortable. They help in every situation and do a special every night, even if difficult due to weather conditions. Bungalow and all other facilities are in very good condition. It's just a beautiful spot and they really look after to keep it like that. 100% recommendable!

Friendly staff and good menu at the restaurant. Great experience swimming with the glowing plankton as well. Booked a decent tour with them for the day for a great price. Could've had better rooms though for the price after most hotels in SE Asia give you at least a kettle and a fridge for the same price. Otherwise great!

Beyond excellent! We were waited on hand and foot by the hosts, Robbie and Pia. Every evening they light a big bonfire and provide Chinese lanterns to light and let off into the nights sky. Around 11pm Robbie takes everyone for a swim in the bay to see the plankton. The food is excellent with very generous portions. Despite the rain, we loved our stay!

What a great place to stay! Quiet part of Koh Rong so if you want to party: better find something else. Here you can relax at the beautiful beach and the owners Robbie and Pia taking great care of their guests. We were here with our kids (13/11/7) and they loved it.

Robbie is the best and this place is maximum level to chill. Fly lanterns at night next to a nice fire. Enjoy the white sand and perfect water during the day. Everything is perfect.

We slept 2 nights in a tent very close to the beach. It was a bit primitive but very cozy, and it was cheap. The owner (Robbie) and the staff were so friendly and helpful and smiling. The atmosphere was of great hospitality and the scenery was amazing. It was a very laid back place. The food was good and at fair prices. Robbie took us to the ocean in the evening to see the fluorescent plankton - so fantastic! The place is just a short walk from the pier at Coconut Beach. Upon arrival we were given free local made coconut oil to protect us from sand flies. The staff kept the beach clean - very clean.
We hope to come back here!
