  DESTROYED! Stayed here January 2018 and whatever was here to enjoy before is LONG GONE! Humongous Chinese 45+ storey mega-hotels have destroyed the beach atmosphere and the beach is the most polluted we have seen in Asia. Plastic everywhere. In sand and in the water. Horrible, horrible experience and very sad to have our children witness our planet being destroyed before or eyes

  November 2017 : Clearwater guesthouse has been a nice place to stay. Unfortunately the chinese have bought all the available coastline for building enormous condominiums and casinos. All around are but works going on, day and night !! No use going there for the moment. Maybe after the works are finished the place will live up again.

  Der Besitzer hat neulich gewechselt, der neue sitzt in Kanada und ist nicht vor Ort. Das Hostel wäre gar nicht so übel, auch wenn ein paar Zimmer wie bessere Gefängnisszellen wirken, mit vergitterten Fenstern. Allerdings liegt das Clearwater umringt von mehreren Hotelgrossbaustellen die einem auch den Zugang zum Independence Beach versperren, es gibt auch nur noch einen kleinen freien Strandabschnitt. Gearbeitet wird an den Hochhäusern rund um die Uhr. Machen kann man in der Umgebung rein gar nichts. Frühstück war okay, Personal auch sehr nett, ist eine one-woman show. Schnelles WLAN, Essen ist auch zu empfehlen.

  Прекрасное и уютное место. Мало номеров, а соответственно и людей. Приятная и милая хозяйка Джессика))), помогла нам с арендой байка и покупкой местного мобильного номера. Для любителей тихого места и прекрасного отдыха самый лучший вариант.)
