the Cambodian immigration officer worked on 7th April 1pm asked me 100 thb otherwise he won’t give me a passport. So disappointed to have this kind of experience in this lovely country especially from the immigration officer.

Super bad border, the officer ask me 100 THB for the stamp. I told him that ASEAN countries has an agreement about the visa that all ASEAN countries did not need visa for tourism purpose.

It's absolutely scam.hope the government can fired that corruption's officer

'The worst land border crossing in Southeast Asia' is a good description here. This is scam city. Everyone is trying to scam you or get a bribe. There are several online guides for crossing, and I highly recommend you read them and print them out. BE WARY of yourself and your possessions here! Some people have even created a fake border crossing a few km from the real one in an attempt to scam people. Read about this crossing thoroughly so you'll be ready for it.

What a disaster. It is a free for all. Scammer are everywhere and you are never sure if it is the police or someone trying to steal some money from you :(

If you want to escape the corruption hassle, I recommend arriving in Aranyaprathet before 6.30 am, and go for the immigration process directly. Ignore everyone that bothers you, and make sure you clear both immigration procedures before 7 am (you know it when Nokor Reach, the Cambodian national anthem plays). For you who needs visa to cross the border, apply for e-visa. I did these and nobody tried to ask for a bribe (I'm Malaysian thus didn't need a visa to go across the border). Note that the border is officially open at 7 am 😉

The line outside leads into the building pictured. There's 6 windows, 4 of which were operating. When you're done make a slight right to walk to the Thai intake, which will be on the left side of the street.
