Bun took us on a tailor made tour of just about everything and more of Battambang. I asked Bun to take me and my family to see the village life of the locals where we visited local families making rice noodles, spring roll wrapper, lady making cigarettes, fish paste market, Battambang train, stopped at some local stalls to see the unusual meats they bbq like rat. Bun spoke about history of war time and the present times. I can't say enough good about Bun, he involved our 13 year old son in everything and treated us so well. He showed us exploding plants, which my son thought was awesome and we visited a pagoda and viewed the monks blessing locals. He showed us the countryside and pointed out Cambodian cotton and unusual fruits and vegetables growing. He also arranged a taxi to Phnom Penh for us and turned up on the day to let us know the taxi was going to be a few mins late. The reviews are true about Bun, he really is the guy to show you around! A MUST-DO in Battambang! Bun is such a nice and friendly person, speaking excellent English, and his tour was simply fantastic! We did so many different things: we visited the Bamboo Train, the Killing Fields, the Killing Caves and the Bat Cave. And in between he showed us so many genuine cambodian places and little things, which we would never have seen without him. For example an 80 year-old lady rolling cigarettes by hand, a traditional rice noodle factory and a factory for the spring-roll-"papers" (you can taste the fresh spring rolls there), a traditional fish market, we ate green oranges together, he showed us "exploding" plants growing besides the street, ate sticky rice baked in bamboo, and he told us so many interesting things about the cambodian people, politics and buddism. (I hope I forgot nothing!)
Furthermore, we could choose freely what things we wanted to see.
We were in Cambodia for only 5 days, but Bun's tour made it possible for us to get deep and very very awesome insights into Cambodia on only one day.
Please, give Bun a chance and try his awesome Battambang-Tour, you won't regret it!
