The tour of the silk farm was a big surprise! An informed guide walks you through each step of the silk making process from mulberry fields to the weaving of scarves. These artisans use old school technology and skills to create beautifully crafted scarves. I found the entire process utterly fascinating. Tip your free guide then wander through the store and drool over the sumptuous wares. Hire a Tuk-tuk and take the tourdon't miss this!

Wonderful visit totally free with explaining the process of getting silk from the worm to the cloth. I was totally amazed at the skill needed for every step of the process. If you have not been to see this operation it is well worth the trip and time. The girls operating the loom are amazing the concentration need to remember he steps is quite amazing! Gives a new aspect to hand made and created.

We loved the trip to Angkor silk farm. A free shuttle takes you from city centre to the farm where an English speaking guide takes your through the entire process, from the silk worm to the final product. It was a lot of fun !

A place where you can get to know the process of creating silk from the very beginning. Everything well explained, numerous exhibits that can be admired. Service friendly and well spoken English, helpful in every matter. Shop with a huge amount of articles made in a traditional way, a large selection of handicrafts and silk products. The price range is wide. You can visit with small children, and with larger groups. On site a small bar with cool drinks and ice cream. In the area a lot of greenery. Everyone in this place will find something for themselves.

This a wonderful, educational experience for anyone - regardless of your interests. Nice intro, too, to Cambodian enterprise in fashion, textiles, and decorative arts. Also nice is the non-profit organization that runs this operation. Feel good fun at many levels.

The Angkor silk farm is a very nice place for a shopping visit.You get authentic Cambodian silk products here. Everything from scarfs to hand kerchiefs and from suits to wallets are sold here.Made by Weaver's in a factory located in same compound.You can see the manufacturing up close.chemical dyes are used for color but that's ok as nowadays its not easy to make natural dyes anymore due to availability issues with natural she's.Products are a bit pricey..But its ok to buy as quality is good. You Will be approached by a free guide who will show you around the farm and factory.Can tip him a couple of dollars but it's each person's call..o really its a nice experience and could take an hour or less to complete as each person's tastes differ..

The Angkor Silk Farm is a great learning experience about how silk is produced and cultivated in the area. It supports many local women in the local area and provides an important means for sustainable industry in Cambodia. Highly recommended to visit and have a guided tour.

Took a tuktuk to the farm. Loved loved loved this place. A guide walks you through the farm taking as much time as you like explaining the process start to finish from raising the larvae, to finished textile - and oh my, are the textiles beautiful! Still using traditional methods. Highly recommend!! Only day we could go was a Sunday so only a little work was happening but you didn't miss anything - recommend M-F visit

Fantastic silk farm. Our guide took us through the whole will process from the worms to the cloth. My girls and i learned a lot on our visit. All the silk garments/fabric are sold locally and produced by local men and women.

Really really cool! The tour is free, and the tour guide was great. We had no idea about the process of manufacturing and weaving silk prior to this, so it was really cool to see the process from the fields of mulberry bushes (which they use to feed the silk worms) right through to seeing the silk being weaved on massive peddled looms. A must see!

A must visit place, located only half an hour from the city of Siem Reap.

The tour is free and I even got my personal tour guide as a single traveller - the stuff puts a lot of effort in making you feel welcome.

It's amazing getting to see all the various stages of the silk production (from the plants the worms feast on to the dying process of the silk strings). Photos are welcomed and most of the workers enjoy showing you exactly what they do and how they do it.

The tour ends with a visit to the silk store - but you do not need to buy anything at all, yet I would recommend to buy silk products here instead of at any markets within the city (it might be a little more expansive, yet you can be sure of the quality).
