Super Mexican restaurant with the right atmosphere.
Outside seating for people to wait or to just relax.
Inside one feels immediately a Mexican atmosphere. The large bar with seats, the furniture, the music, all resembles a Mexican Cantina or restaurant.
Nice variety of meals, including vegetarian dishes, specialties on the menu and more info on a large blackboard, like delivery through Nham 24, the special weekend brunch from 11 - 3pm, bucket of Corona, agave tequila and more.
I arrived at 6.30 and fell in the happy hour offer of buy 2, get one free, which to my delight also included open wines.
The bar is very well stocked with many kinds if tequila and mezcal, plus house barrel aged cocktails.
Special draft beer Himawari, a centennial IPA and a Apsara gold.
Bottles of Corona, Estrella, Asahi super dry, San miguel light, Hoegaarden normal and rosé and Cambodia.
Payments by credit cards, Pi Pay and cash.
Very friendly staff, specially the females, all speak good English and are very helpful.
A wide choice of appetizers, like warm house made corn bread, , memelas, empanadas, cheese plus dip and tirtilla chips, chicken fajita salad and octous salad.
The most popular meal is Fajitas, the house-made flour tortillas filled by yourself with chicken, pork, beef or seafood, vegetables, and your choice of 6 extras, sour cream, chick pea paste, guacamole, cheese, special rice and salsa.
A delight! The warm tortillas (4) served in a textile bag, are already nice, but filled in the way you like it and some spicy cilli, tabasco on top makes every fajita a feast.
I ordered 2 more tortillas to fit with the main dish. Excellent food, really great.
I will be back, not only because it's around the corner, but because it's among the best Mexican restaurants I have eaten, including those in Mexico.
Amazing Mexican food, great atmosphere and friendly staff! Prices are decent especially considering the quality of food! If I could make one suggestion, serve 5 ounces of wine. Pretty sure we got something between 3.5 and 4 ounces. But still worthy of 5 stars! Will definitely go back!
Best Mexican food in town. I love everything. The taste the service and the staff
Mexican food! Friendly owner and staff with good quality of food. Bit tiny place but it surely will satisfy your expectation well
The atmosphere is fantastic. Almost like being back home in the San Francisco Bay Area wine country.
The food was disappointing especially after hearing that owner had lived in Mexico for many years where he learned the recipes.
Ordered the salsa Verde enchiladas.
Mexican rise bland and not fluffy. Beans were not refried but where instated like baked beans and omg sweet. The salsa Verde sauces which is very simple to make was also sweet and a weird texture.
The staff were really great.
I don't understand why it's so hard to make simple Mexican food in Asia.
Tacos are way overpriced (2 little tacos for $6-7), same with enchiladas. And both OK flavor-wise. Nachos or chicken the best bang for your buck. Roast chicken & cornbread really great, though white meat a little on the dry side, dark meat fell off the bone. Probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest, selection of tequila in town. I prefer Mexicano in BKK1 when I want Mexican food.
Nice place a little off of the main market tourist area. Great atmosphere and decor. Friendly staff, good quality and variety of food and drink options. Not for the strictly "budget" traveler, but some lower price options and chips and sala are free. They do have Happy hour, but it is buy 2 get 1 (though they will pack the third "to go"! (remember though that it must be the same exact drink. Over all good, just wish that the prices were a bit less expensive.
Here lays the remainder of what was the most spectacular nachos! Do yourself a favor get down here!
Tell them I sent you for free salsa and chips ;)
Baliisimoso!
Good, simple and quite accurate. Nice menu.
Amazing Mexican food, the best meal I've had in south east Asia, hands down. Prices are reasonable given the quality and quantity. Great service too!
Rare to find such and extensive foreign list of quality ingredients. Everything we ate was hand crafted with care. Cocktails second to none in Phnom Penh. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Have to be honest, clearly much better than early days reviews. They listened I guess. Good food, good portions, very attentive service. If you like Mexican food, definitely worth a visit IMHO.
Really nice meal, great decor and ambience outside. Had the vegetarian burrito, it was good but not amazing. Hardly any sour cream or cheese and shouldn't be charged the same as the meat burritos. Service was excellent, we loved sopheak
Truly awful dining experience. As previously mentioned by other reviews, what's described on the menu and what you receive are world's apart. Ordered the guacamole with chorizo, which is supposed to be made table side. I received a golf ball sized lump of smashed avocado, zero taste, no chorizo and not prepared table side. Expected much more for $6.50. Then ordered the burrito which did not come with sour cream and salsa as described. Asked for sour cream and was then charged extra for it WTF. The guacamole was sent back and they also tried to charge me for it. Ask to speak with the American Chef or the manager of which neither came out to talk with me. $20 for dinner for one, one would expect much better food and service. Restaurant was empty, now I know why.
Great food. First time having Mexican food in Cambodia.
Brand new place so maybe it will improve but felt expensive for the quality and amount of food. The atmosphere and presentation were lovely, but it tipped into a negative for me because the ingredients were not as advertised. Simply skimpy. The elotes were just drizzled with mayo and cheese instead of coated and seasoned, the burritos came out without salsa and sour cream, and the nachos were mostly just cheese, peppers, and onions, quite different from the menu descriptions.
Newly opened jitters but has potential. Prices are a little high for the quality and quantity of food. Service was fair by Asian standards. Good location. Hopefully the problems will work out with time and the size and taste of the entrée will improve.
