My wife, baby and I live in Kazakhstan and we took her parents to Kyrgyzstan to experience some beautiful scenery - we chose Visit Karakol as the options on their website seemed perfect for our needs. The one day Jeti-Oguz trip was excellent with our English-speaking guide Ibraim proving to be friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about his job, which meant all of us really enjoyed our day out in beautiful surroundings. Ibraim stayed in contact with me to help with my hobby of Lenin-hunting and also sent some fantastic photos of our trip to me. Sadly illness in our group meant we couldn't make our second trip to Altyn Arashan but I would certainly use Visit Karakol for this trip in future and I highly recommend them! I contacted Visit Karakol for a hike out of the beaten track, and the its founder, Timur, organised for me a great itinerary in the valleys near Enilchek, showing me some marvellous landscapes and somer very interesting petroglyphs in a beautiful natural setting. Timur proved to be very knowledgeable of the geography, history and culture of the area. Also, he dealt very well with some unforeseen events (heavy snowfall) that threatened to compromise our hike. I strongly recommend Visit Karakol to anyone wishing to have a unique experience and travel in absolute safety.

Thanks to Timur/Visit Karakol for making our visit to Kyrgyzstan the very best in late March. The stop we had at the huge Sunday animal market in Tokmok! Never seen anything like it before. The lunch at the dumpling restaurant in the backstreet nearby. And most of all: The unforgettable drive the next day in heavy snow and whiteout along unplowed roads over the pass Chon Ashuu (3800), though the most beautiful landscape to the hot spring at Sary-Jaz. Timur, always steady and positive. Timur, the positive and professional Kyrgyz guide. Hope you will take us, the Norwegian Trio, for new adventures next time we will visit your fantastic country.
