  This hotel was a brilliant surprise after a long ride through backcountry kyrgyzstan. you will get amazing authentic food from very charming, english speaking staff in what looks like a mixture between a sovjet psychiatric ward and a fancy hotel from the 1920s. The atmosphere, between burnt power outlets and cheesy flower-curtains would be perfect for any lost soul looking for a remote place to drown in post-heartbreak melancholy for days. but even if you're just a couple of misguided travellers, looking for a roof for the night to enjoy some bishkek cognac, have a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed, excited to get going again the next morning, this will fully satisfy your needs. In some offline maps app, this hotel is called "desparation hotel" (sic). the name is very fitting, and it is to be understood in the most positive sense. the desparation hotel is a definite recommendation.

  Can really recommend this Hotel. The price is low and really worth it! Very delicious food, very friendly and helpful english speaking staff, nice and clean rooms (mine even had balcony and refridgerator), free wi-fi and warm shower down the floor!! (08/2016)
