Ski touring place. Sauna, warm ski room. Ideally located to start tour and finish trails. Great food is a nice addition.

The most expensive, yet the best equipped of the series of linked guest houses in jyrgalan. No cooking facilities, but they dish up 3 meals a day for guests (only breakfast included). Tynch was excellent at recommending hiking routes for any duration, and can also sort you out with a mountain bike, guide or horse. The several day hikes they advertise are no doubt great, but we went for a series of one day hikes, returning each day to a comfortable bed and a warm delicious meal. Genuinely unforgettable scenery, even after being spoiled by hikes by Karakol a few days before. Make sure you look up when the biannual festival is on (Summer edition was sunday 27th august in 2017) for some cultural treats. Warnings: no ATMs, but you can pay your hotel bill on visa. Only 3 busses a day (but taxis to Karakol cost around 1500 some for an emergency) The only topographic map of the region we could find is on Soviet military maps, or taped to the living room table in the guest house. Make sure you take a photo. It's 1:200,000 though. Hopefully better maps are forthcoming.

This is about 70 km away from the city of Karakol. In the winter you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, summer trekking and highland enjoyment. There is even a summer festival on the 27th of August. You can see the contests and meals by attending Kyrgyz tradition. Do not forget to see nearby Tulpar Tash as well.

Waking up to beautiful views every morning, delicious food and friendly staff. What more could one want?! If you want to escape the touristy places and want a true Kyrgyz experience, Jyrgalan is the place to go. There are many activities here to keep you busy. Trekking and horse treks in the summer months an free-ride skiing in the wintertime.

Jyrgalan is for sure worth a visit! We had two days there in late March backcountry skiing, highly recommended. Jyrgalan Guesthouse is a great place to stay: Friendly staff, good food and facilities. Our walks along muddy roads in the village were like adventures. Bring sturdy footwear.

Потрясающая атмосфера и очень приветливые люди! 2-3-местные номера. Есть общая уборная и отдельная в номере. Есть отдельная сушильная комната, так что ваши вещи и снаряга сможет просушиться. Хотя, конечно, сушилку для ботинок нужно взять свою. Удивительная местная кухня. Можно также заранее или на месте договориться об аренде снаряжения - бипер, щуп, лопата + есть возможность взять сплитборд, палки-телескопы.
