VIJANA TWAWEZA (Youth We Can) is a refugee community cooperation initiative of the refugee Youth Club of Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kalobeyei Settlement. We are motivated to work together to solve some of the basic problems our community faces – in particular the problem of inadequate diet and the fight against climate change in Kakuma and Kalobeyei. Our aim is to improve nutrition by increasing the diversity of animals and crops in Kakuma and Kalobeyei to better withstand the negative effects of under nourishment, increase food availability, and address climate change issues.
