The road to this place is so bad. Ensure you liaise with security forces before making the trip here because of bandits. Carry loads of water to give to children who might see loitering on the road. There are several stops before Turkwel where you can get cheap onions and quality honey. Turkwel dam has breathtaking views though and a friendly community lives near it.
