This is very fast growing town with some big manufacturers setting up almost ever month. Its only about 50km from Nairobi hence an attractive site with low government taxation costs. There nasty traffic jams in the mornings and evenings when most people travel to work and return from work. There very many shops and supermarkets in the CBD. Parking is a big challenge and council bills for parking.

There isn't another place I know better than Thika. The kind of place to call 'place to be'.
It has markets both for food and dry goods stuff.
Schools, hospitals, water and electricity are available amenities. The one thing hard to come across is a public toilet save for two or three in the main markets, main bus station not forgetting inside the new malls. Thankfully restaurants and some business owners are kind enough to readily share their washrooms.
Traffic is the new vocabulary in Thika as it wasn't known in a couple years ago. This due to the rise in real estate investment.
Housing is also readily available and renting relatively affordable.
Transport is okay with tarmac and murram roads and readily available means to move about, that is, the tuktuks, motorcycles and bodaboda bicycles.response / report this review -
