Nice and quiet. Ideal for completing a book.
Beautiful place. In the middle of the wild. A place to see.
Great lodge. Saw leopard on the way in
Very clean bedrooms. Lovely viewing verandas over watering hole. Inside Abadares National Park. 2 hours drive from Nairobi
Amazing place with terrace overlooking watering place for wild animals. So if you missed leopard, hyena or want to elephants and buffalo you still have a chance.
Beautiful place inside Aberdares National Park in Nyeri. From the Ark you can watch wild animals day and night as they gather at the water hole.
Well done meals and very warm staff.
Great little place for 1 night. Rooms are small but you come for the balconies overlooking the watering hole. No rooms have balconies, it's just communal.
When they mention the 'bird walk'don't get too excited!
Best wooden jungle laudge. Whole day and night you can watch many elephants, buffallo, Dears, hyenas .They serve you good food, coffee etc. Very curious staff like Mr George.
I loved the place, given an opportunity i would go back again n again
Very Good Place to stay inside the game reserve. It is a very compact place with 3 levels/Deck for viewing animals. Most frequented by African elephants and African Bison with Hyenas also on spot. Staff is very helpful and cooperative. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner as buffet only. Waking up at 5 am and watching sun rise is with animals drinking water at front is a blissful experience.
What an unforgettable experience. I went here in February 1996. The Genet cat was a rare treat, and the only one I saw during my week stay in Kenya. We spent two nights at The Arc. The food was fantastic and the staff was super friendly. Maybe, hopefully, some day I will be able to go back again.
Great spot for watching animals
Beautiful infrastructure, beautiful weather, beautiful views, beautiful food and absolutely lovely staff!
Such an amazing place for wildlife lovers, just unique in its setup.
Cozy, clean rooms. Hot water bottles were provided because nights tend to be cold in this area.
The hotel itself has several terraces from where to watch the animals that visit the water hole; you can go to the outside terrace or enjoy the views from one of the sofas. There are board games in one of the living rooms and a bar area.
The location is amazing: watching buffalos and hyenas while enjoying a cup of tea is an unforgettable experience.
The staff were extremely friendly and willing to tell visitors which animals were visiting the water hole.
Breakfast was buffet-style with a choice of fruit and toast, and you could choose whether you wanted scrambled, boiled or fried eggs with bacon and sausages. Dinner was delicious: tasty salads, hot soup, a choice of meat or vegetarian dishes, and several dessert options. They adapted the menu to celiac travellers, and even made gluten free bread.
An amazing place, where you can see wild animals which a closet distance. Lovely room, small but cozy.
