Great people and decent food. Rooms were hot and no fans. Street noise was loud. But otherwise safe and relaxing. Good WiFi.

This is a simple local restaurant with quick and simple local meals. Its good for grabbing a quick local lunch while on the run. Most of the attendants are employees around this neighbourhood who come in for a quick meal before resuming back into their nearby offices

Wow, I must say that the food here is definitely fantastic! You get value for your money and you eat till you drop. The waiters will always ask if you want more.

For the excessive room rate of 40 USD incl. breakfast the narrow rooms are very poor, but fully functional and clean to an europan level.
When I visited, longer reconstruction works happened, so the upstorey rooms were only reachable via a narrow emergency stairs like in a lighthouse. Main entrance was closed.
It was a struggle taking heavy baggage to the 3. storey (no lift as common to Kenya). Nobody helped.
Loud inside noise of long strong rains during rainy season.
A pro: Staff is friendly.
In general, Machakos is an overcrowded, overprized, noisy city. For accomodation I recommend one of the beautiful country spots.

WiFi is only meant for in house and conference guests. Those only interested in the restaurant services are not entitled to WiFi access. They are less of customers it seems.
