Beautiful eco lodgegreat food and of course, you can see Kilimanjaro as you have your breakfast
An amazingly beautiful place. Very rustic but tastefully done decor. Very environmentally friendly in every way. Lots of animals at the water hole. Food is superb. Enjoyed it a lot.
Great place, great staff, great views and truly wild!!! Just don't go there in a saloon.
Overall we were very impressed with our time at Satao Elerai. It's a bit bumpy of a ride during the final stretch to get there, but its worthwhile for the exclusive and intimate atmosphere that awaits. The camp is small and the attention given by the staff is outstanding. We loved both our waiter (Jonathan) and driver (Mwangi) during our 3-day stay. The design of the camp is outstanding, with wonderful views of the water holes at the dining area and Mount Kilimanjaro from the tents. The food was perfect and we always felt comfortable as we left the table. The amount of food and variety was just right. We visited with children, and they even had some games for the kids and a wonderful pool overlooking a water hole. The game drives in the Elerai Conservancy are authentically Kenyan, with beautiful acacia trees and a variety of wildlife. You won't find the abundance of animals as in Amboseli (which is well worth the visit), but the private drives and absence of other vehicles is wonderful. We even saw a family of three cheetah just 10 minutes into our first drive!
Fantastic safari camp on the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro.
Amazing! Absolutely loved my time at this luxury camp. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The conservancy is home to many species and daily trips to the park aren't required to see the wildlife (I went daily anyhow).
The drive to the park is a little long, however, you see so much on the way.
Wouldn't hesitate to return and highly recommend.
Simply sublime experience. Great food, AMAZING location, beautiful people and attentive service.
Chilling at night with an ice cold Tusker watching massive elephants, zebras, warthogs and giraffes pass by the water hole is an indescribable joy. Likewise waking up to have the first thing you see be the majestic Kilimanjaro at the foot of your bed.
AMAZING STAY!!! Thank you Alex, Sammy, Jonathan, the phenomenal Maasai guides and the rest of your amazing team!
We will never forget our stay with you!
This is an amazing quiet safari tented camp in Amboseli, Kenya. Its actually in a conservancy I believe called Satao Elarai. It's an intimate place with an amazing view of Mt Kilimanjaro which usually looks majestic and picture perfect in the mornings.
The tents are not only spacious but also very luxurious. Complete with hot water showers, individual patios and comfortable beds.
We happened to have been there when one of the Directors- Alex- was visiting and he made us feel so welcome and at home. Which explains I guess how wonderful the service was from all the service staff. I totally recommend this place and hope to be back again some day
Fantastic location, we stayed for 2 nights, unfortunately Kilimanjaro was covered in cloud both days but that did not detract from the experience. Luxury tents, great staff, great food and cold drinks. a perfect start to our Africa Safari
