This campsite should be advertised better. There are toilets and showers. People are there to help you get firewood and watch over your stuff while you go out. Nearby Samburu Lodge has food and drinks so you don't have to come fully prepared. River has crocodiles so swimming is out of the question but the view is still nice. Monkeys and baboons are there so mind your food. But overall, a very pleasent surprise.
A well shaded campsite right in the heart of the park, location nicely located next to a river with space for large groups. Toilets and showers available with a tap for non potable water. There is a caretaker on site which is very helpful because the baboons here are extremely aggressive and he helps keep them away! They are extremely habituated to humans and extreme care should be taken to keep an eye out and lock away all food items when not in use. Firewood is available at a small fee.
Great campsite. Right by the water and with shower/toilets, and some nice guys to help out. Right next to the game warden HQ, so safe as well!. As usual toilets could be cleaner 😐
