Such a wonderful university in a wonderful serene environment. The University is located in the coastal region of Kenya on Kilifi county Coast province along Mombasa Malindi road roughly one hour from Mombasa. It is only a few minutes away from the Kilifi beach and just after the bridge.
It offers a wide range of courses from diploma to post graduates. The lifestyle around the campus is affordable. Students can stay within campus until the University hostels or private rentals outside the campus. Food is of average price. There are a lot of entertainment joints around the campus which offer affordable foods and drinks.
The people of Coast around pwani University environs are very welcoming.
The University boast of a state of the art library and good educational facilities. ICT is well developed and the lecturers are up to the task.
Students are drawn from all over the East and Central African region though a bigger majority are Kenyans. It's a cosmopolitan campus with students from all the 42 tribes in Kenya. Official language is English but Swahili being the Kenyan National language and a Coast originated language, is still spoken far and wide among the students.
Mode of studentship is either through National government sponsorship of through private sponsorship. Government sponsored students receive a special subsidy on their fees and accommodation. Government also gives the students they are sponsoring loans for tuition fees and for survival.
Diploma courses take two years while degree courses take 4 years. Postgraduate courses vary depending on the course.

A nice place to be, though hot but always cool when under trees especially in the Botanical garden and the Lovers' Park.
Accommodation always easier to get at the Resource Center and refreshment in the Red Buffalo Restaurante.response / report this review -

Very nice institution, nice serene environment.
Their guest house however! They never pick calls and have poor room service and I doubt they ever fumigate their rooms.response / report this review -

A misconception exists that the coast is not a place for education but a place for leisure . This institution stands to challenge this notion. With its high class facilities and top notch academic echelon it promises to produce very efficient and highly experienced professionals.
